Credit to CelticsLife's one and only EK on the pic.Hey, with so many Patriots fans ragging on an aging Brady, how about injecting a little youth to the position. Rondo did play QB in high school after all. Now, as for Tom Brady as a point guard. I think he's got the vision but not really the athleticism. If the Celtics ran a purely half court offense and just let Tom Brady stand in one place and deliver the ball, maybe. However, I think - as per usual - Bill Belichick would come out on top over this deal and Danny Ainge would get crushed.Check out CelticsLife.comRelated:Today's Video: Rajon Rondo's Got Hands!Video: Rajon Rondo throws a touchdown pass to Jeff GreenRondo wanted to be Brett Favre growing upPhotos: Rajon Rondo playing some football on ESPN's campusRajon Rondo visits Patriots practice (2011)

Rajon Rondo’s never-ending search for a free throw that works

One of the most impressive turn-around this preseason has been Rajon Rondo’s free throw shooting.  He shot 77% from the line, giving us the hope that his effectiveness can continue, and provide the Celtics a new scoring weapon. But one thing stood out with Rondo at the line.  His routine looks different.  Every coach in the basketball world will tell you that a good, consistent...

Is Rajon Rondo Ready to Make the Proverbial Leap?

Skepticism Still Remains That Rajon Rondo Is Ready to Grasp Leadership Role   Rajon Rondo is the leader of the Boston Celtics. At least, that’s what I am told. I read it in Jackie MacMullan’s eye-opening piece last week.  As well as CLNS Radio’s own Daniel Baker’s piece on Celtics Media Day last month.  As [...]

Video: Rondo says he loves his teammates, has fun with the media

A playful Rajon Rondo spoke to the media following today's open practice. The whole video is worth a watch. Rondo concludes the video with the following quote: "I love my teammates. These guys are great. This is a close group of guys. We bonded pretty well overseas and we've been together actually the last couple nights. A couple of us have been together, going to dinners...

Are The Patriots Too Reliant on the Arm of Tom Brady?

Are the Patriots wins and losses still determined by how productive Tom Brady is under center this season?Large in part, yes if Brady has a **** game then things don't look good for us. But consider this:The Patriots are now carrying the 5th best rushing offense in the NFL, averaging about 149 yards per game between Ridley, Vereen, Woodhead, and Bolden. In comparison to the past...

Brady, Patriots rout Rams 45-7 at Wembley

Tom Brady led touchdown drives on the Patriots' first five possessions Sunday and New England ran over the St. Louis Rams 45-7 in the NFL's annual regular-season game in London. The Rams looked ready to put up a fight when Sam Bradford hit Chris Givens with a 50-yard touchdown pass on the first drive of the game. But that was about all the offense St. Louis could muster...

Fantasy Forecast: Week 8

QB Tom Brady Brady has been a solid performer in terms of fantasy points the past few weeks, but he hasn’t really gone on a soul-crushing scoring binge since the Buffalo game. I think that trend could continue this week with several elements of the passing game nursing injuries. I think Brady puts up around 300 yards and two scores, but projecting anything more would be overly...

Brady, Gronk and Ridley Lead Patriots to Jolly Good Time

The New England Patriots and St Louis Rams went overseas for the 2012 NFL International Series Game at Wembley Stadium in London.  The English hadn’t seen such a forceful offensive onslaught since the Patriots whipped the Tampa Buccaneers in their last London appearance, 35-7 in 2009.  When Tom Brady and company were done with the Rams there was no doubt in anyone’s mind...

New England Patriots Destroys Rams In Old England: Hero & Zero of the Game

To those few who had the audacity to imagine that Sam Bradford could out-duel the great Tom Brady and his high power attack, try not to take it too hard. He's still got it and he's gonna keep on winning games. So stop dissing on that arm- he still looks like the quarterback who wins Super Bowls.Oh, and for the pundits who claimed that this game in London, England was not...

London Burning: Patriots lay waste to the Rams

I learned two things while watching the Rams at a Dave & Busters with my family and a group of Rams fans. 1: The amount of time it takes for the D&B sensory overload to reduce my four-year-old son to be reduced to a quivering puddle of nerves and tears is approximately two hours. 2: The amount of time it takes for Tom Brady and the Patriots to do the same to the Rams defense...

Patriots in Preparations for 'London Calling,' Seeking to Stop Rams Across the Pond

"London calling at the top of the dial, an' after all this, won't you give me a smile?" That line from the Clash's 1979 hit "London Calling," which you'll likely hear an inordinate amount until kickoff on Sunday, might have best summed up Patriots fans' feelings heading into this weekend's showdown just across the pond. A few early...

Week 8 Risers and Fallers: Patriots Take Care of Business Across the Pond

While the trip to London was surely full of fun and games, Sunday was purely a business trip. The Patriots dominated the Rams at Wembley Stadium, 45-7, moving to 5-3 at the midway point of their season. Tom Brady put on a vintage performance for the London crowd, throwing four touchdowns and posting a season-high passer rating of 131.1. Rob Gronkowski marched to the tune...

Halftime: Pats 28, Rams 7

Four possessions, four touchdowns for the Patriots in the first half. New England leads St. Louis 28-7 at the break in London. Shane Vereen scored on fourth-and-goal from the 1-yard line to give the Pats a 14-7 lead. With 6:51 left in the second quarter, Tom Brady found Rob Gronkowski for a 7-yard touchdown. Gronk celebrated London style, by imitating a British Royal Guard march...
