Ohio State issued a release late this afternoon outlining new sanctions in connection with extra benefits provided by an OSU booster. The new sanctions include scholarship restrictions of a total of five scholarships over the next three years.
(To dumb it down a little bit, OSU will not lose five scholarships each of the three years, just a total of five lost scholarship seasons...

In the midst of all the talks about Penn State, Ohio State received some bad news today. The NCAA notified Ohio State it was adding the charge of ‘Failure to Monitor’ due to recent circumstances. Jordan Hall, Travis Howard, Corey Brown, and former quarterback Terrelle Pryor all attended a charity banquet in which they received $200 for attending. Hall, Howard, and Brown...
This week running the ball and stopping the run will be key, as will pass protection for Ohio State. The Buckeyes will also look to put an end to their slow starting ways and solve what has made Purdue so much tougher to play against in West Lafayette.

In what is sure to go down as one of the most memorable matches of the season, Northwestern prevailed in a frenzied five-set thriller at Welsh-Ryan Arena against the No. 22 Ohio State Buckeyes, 3-2 (25-22, 21-25, 25-22, 27-27, 15-13), on Friday night.
Ohio State is far removed from the scandal unfolding at Penn State this week, but it was a topic of conversation as Buckeye head coach Luke Fickell held his final press conference of the week. Fickell also updated the health status of a pair of his players prior to a noon contest at Purdue on Saturday.
