Nick Mangold wasn't the only NFL star in London this weekend, showing support for a competitor in the Olympic games. Jaguars cornerback Aaron Ross was also in attendance.

While Holley, sister of the Jets' All-Pro center, did not medal, Ross' wife, Sanya Richards-Ross, fared better.

Much better.

Richards-Ross, who took part in the 400-meter race Sunday, captured gold for the U.S. with a time of 49.55, narrowly edging out the competition.

After fulfilling a dream four-years in the making, Richards-Ross reveled in the moment, wrapping herself in the American flag before embracing her husband, who, like Mangold, left training camp behind to head overseas.

''You finally did it, you finally did it, babe,'' Ross told his wife, via the Associated Press. ''Enjoy the moment.''

As you could imagine, it was a very emotional scene for Richards-Ross, having endured a five-year battle with an autoimmune disease.

Did she enjoy recapturing the top perch? I'd say so.

''The run was phenomenal,'' Richards-Ross said. ''It's very, very challenging to get on the Olympic stage and give your best performance, to balance your emotions and physical. It's a huge weight off my shoulders. I kept telling myself, `You are the champ. You are the champ.' To go out there and actually accomplish it is really fantastic.''

Congratulations to the Ross' on a magnificent -- and much-deserved -- accomplishment.
