412 LaxWinter Fashion Week: 2012 Colorado State Helmet The Rams jump ship to Warrior helmets for the 2012 season. Here’s the first look at their new lid. Surprise! It’s white. For those of you new to the MCLA, you might think it’s tacky or unoriginal for CSU to throw up “FAMILY” on the back of their helmet. Family is synonymous with Colorado State. Coach Flip has been talking about the CSU lax family in his journal since I started reading it in 2000. I have no problem with the Rams putting their team motto and their helmets as it shows an even greater commitment to the phrase now that it’s out in the open. (When’s the last time you read Flip’s journal?) However, if they were to add player numbers to this helmet it would contradict that back panel’s message.
