With The Raiders Being So Dysfunctional With Their Cap Spending…

Posted July 11, 2013

An NFL team may be able to eventually snatch their top pick right from under their noses. They are going to be a top 5 picking team without question. They simply have too many flaws while they are playing in an extremely difficult division. On top of that they are facing the NFC East. Their best player may be more fragile than Mike Vick, and they have a coach that has been saddled with poor FO decisions who is out of his league. 6 wins would be asking a lot from the Raiders. With that being the case the Raiders will need to trade out of their first round pick. They simply wont be able to afford to pay anyone due to their dubious past cap spending failures. On the plus for the Raiders it means they will probably gain more lower round picks, but it’s likely also to mean they wont be in a position to obtain a franchise player capable of taking them to the next level. With that being the case they haven’t exactly drafted well with their top picks anyways so running out of the top picks would be in their best interest. This is where the Eagles can sneak in and possible get a top pick without actually needing to “tank” the season. The Raiders have already “tanked” it for them.
