(Eds: APNewsNow. Will be updated. With AP Photos.) By PAUL NEWBERRY AP Sports Writer Mike Woodson is shrugging off his return to Atlanta, saying he's more concerned about getting his own team healthy.
The interim coach of the New York Knicks said Friday it's no big deal to be back in the city where he coached for six seasons. He led the Hawks to the playoffs the last three of those years, but was fired in 2010 and replaced by one of his assistants, Larry Drew.
Woodson was out of coaching last season, but he returned as a Knicks assistant this year. Then, he was promoted to interim head coach when Mike D'Antoni quit with New York mired in a slump.
Since Woodson took over, the Knicks have won eight of nine to strengthen their bid for a playoff spot.

So many questions. It can’t be simply because she felt like going to a basketball game, right? It’s never that simple. There has got [...]

New York (26-26 as of Saturday night) is clinging to the eighth spot in the Eastern...
After watching him last night it's clear to me his days of making an major impact in the association is over.
His instincts are still there but his body doesn't react fast enough for this league, Jeff Teague and Willie Green were using and abusing him by blowing by him at every glance.
To me he represented the old knicks under Danphoney playing matador defense, he...

Stephon Marbury says he is not interested in returning to the NBA
to play for the New York Knicks in the wake of Jeremy Lin's injury.
In the first game of a difficult stretch, the New York Knicks sent a statement to the rest of the NBA Wednesday by routing the Orlando Magic, 108-86. Playing in the second game since Amare Stoudemire was sidelined indefinitely with a bulging disc in his back, Carmelo Anthony led all Knicks in scoring with 25 points in 26 minutes. In
We've seen some NBA fans get pretty creative with their taunts of opposing players but this New York Knicks fan might take the cake with his taunt.During Wednesday night's Orlando Magic/New York Knicks game, Orlando's Glen Davis was on the free throw line and one fan standing behind the basket decided to point at some food (we're guessing ice cream) he was holding...
