Credit Flickr account 66Baseball The other day Rob did a post on Jason Pridie's up hill battle to make the team, it appears the bench has two spots that aren't locks. Paulino, Hairston and Hu seem to already be penciled in on the roster, leaving a spot for a defensive outfielder and a corner infielder. Most speculation is that Willie Harris is the front runner to be the 5th outfielder, basically a defensive replacement at all three outfield positions. Now those that don't find Pridie appealing point to the fact that he has a minor league OBP of .320 and a BA of .276, but Harris hit only .193 with a .298 OBP. The extra bat in the outfield is suppose to be Scott Hairston. Whether it's Harris or Pridie the reason either would make the team is because of their glove, we've seen Harris' glove cost us several games but I'm not sure how many people realize how good Jason Pridie's glove is...In 2008 Baseball Amaerica ranked him the best...
