Easiest way to win a three man playoff? Eagle the first hole. Just ask Brett Rumford.
Here's the biggie. Greg Norman's not a fan of golf's drug testing policies: ''How deep it is (the problem), I have no idea because we only do urine analysis instead of blood testing,'' Norman said. ''If you really want to be serious about it and find about what's really going on, we need to do blood testing. I think it's disgraceful, to tell you the truth. The golf associations have to get together and step it up.
Guan Tianling happy with Zurich performance: “It was another good week,” he said Sunday. “I had fun here and played some good rounds.” Now, Guan will turn his attention to his U.S. Open local qualifier, to be played in two weeks in Dallas. “I got a little better (this week),” he said, “but I still have a long way to go.”
Muirfield will be a tougher test for Open Championship: "The layout has been extended to 7,192 yards compared to 7,034 when defending champion Ernie Els clinched his first Open title after a play-off with Thomas Levet, Stuart Appleby and Steve Elkington in 2002. New tees have been added on seven holes, with the par-five ninth being lengthened by 50 yards to 554 yards, while the course will also feature "plenty" of rough."
Louis Oosthuizen hits out there about, oh, 500-yards. Toed it a bit.
New Jersey assistant pro Joe Bush beats US Open entry deadline by 8 seconds.
Congratulations to Brittany Lang and Kevin Spann following their post-round engagement.
