Should Flyers Sign Lindros?

The flyers are slipping fast in the east, and couldn't land Peter Forsburg due to their 10 game losing streak, they need a boost, and could use a vetren leader. The question i'm asking is should they forget the past and resign Eric Lindros. Bob Clarke is gone and Lindros still has some game left. Instead of Lindros just disappearing, he can skate away into the sunset with the team he started his career with. All im asking for is one more run. GO FLYERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could see them signing Lindros and the Devils bringing Scott Stevens out of retirement just so Stevens can put him out of his misery. No I don't think that the Flyers should sign Lindros, they need to build for the future.

You apparently don't recall the disaster that was his last few seasons? He would be nothing more than a role player and those are best suited to be younger players in most instances.

Signing Lindros would be a total waste.

I absolutely agree with the role players being younger more energetic people than the unfortunately overrated Lindros.

His last few years have looked like he just doesn't enjoy playing all that much anymore, stuck on teams destined to lose. Maybe if he came to a playoff team he would be rejuvenated somehow? Maybe he could do something to provide the flyers with a spark, whether it be a couple good games or just his leadership and on ice presence. If nothing else, the ovation he would get when he first stepped onto the ice would be one of the most memorable flyer moment in recent years. I for one would pay the flyers outrageous ticket prices to see that. He left here under such terrible terms, and never really got that final farewell he deserves. One final stint in philly would be an incredible way to go out. Who knows what would happen... odds are he wouldn't be too good and he would just be a role player and a veteran leader, but I'd be all for it.

Oh... and if you look at his stats the past 3 seasons and average them, he'd have about 50 points a season if he stayed healthy.... that's better than most of the flyers...
