Trojan prospects... 2008 Draft

Coming to USC, I wanted to compete against the best, and that's exactly what it's been. It's been a journey with great players, and as we approach our next journey, I just want to say that I'm proud that I got an opportunity to play with every last one of these guys that are coming out. They're going to be great pros. Here is a video of me and my road dawg Thomas Williams talking about the USC guys coming out in this year's NFL Draft.

If ma birds dont draft you i hope your not in the NFC east because your going to be a star in this league...good luck to you brotha

Hey man, good luck in the draft, I hope your NFL career goes well. Always nice to see more athletes thinking of the fans.

Go Buckeyes!

Solid assessments. USC produces another incredible draft class.

Here is what I think of the USC guys (my opinion probably means nothing but I follow the draft pretty closely so I'll tell you what I think) :)

You and Ellis should end up in the top 10 for sure...Ellis had an amazing senior bowl but his combine test didn't match what was seen in the Senior Bowl. I think that puts him behind Dorsey, but I could care less about Ellis' combine, he's great. You are easily the best LB in the draft, no doubt about it. In college you were a man amongst boys (discounting your other USC teammates)

Fred Davis is going to be a good TE. He's going to struggle getting into the 1st round as a TE, it seems like you need to run 4.3 or 4.4 if you are a TE looking to get in RD 1. I like him and Carlson (from your rivals ND) as the most balanced TEs but Keller (Purdue) might have got himself in the first round with his freakish combine.

Lawrence Jackson is one of my favorites in the draft. He is your prototype at DE, great size, speed, and pursuit. I seriously hope he is there for the Ravens in Rd 2, he's exactly what they need.

Washington isn't flashy and McKnight took some of the spotlight away but he should be in the league for 10 years. Him and Ray Rice were two of the best short yardage backs in CFB last year, and that should translate to the NFL. Combine that with his 4.3 speed and reliable hands and he is going to make one NFL happy.

Baker and Richal should both go near the end of the first or top of the second...Radovich should go mid rounds and I like him if he goes in a zone blocking scheme.

JD Booty's wonderlic score should hurt him. One of the positives about him was his intellect, and although I don't question it, the wonderlic score will make teams start to wonder if he really is as smart as they thought. That could drop him to Rd 4 or 5.

Thomas finds him self in a group of CB prospects that are tough to seperate. Depending on what kind of CB a team wants he could go anywhere from the bottom of the 2nd to the 4th round.

For Thomas, his versatility should help him but his lack of playing time will probably force him into Day 2. I'm looking forward to following his career, I think he can make his name for himself on special teams, maybe the Pats will take him later in the draft after they take you so they can have yet another LB to play FB. :)
