Scott Howes of the Saint John Sea Dogs has been suspended three games for his slash on a Fog Devil player. The incident happened Saturday Night.
The Acadie Bathurst Titan have fired Head Coach Denis Francoeur. Ron Choules has been hired to replace him. Previously he was the Head Coach and General Manager of the Kahnawake Condors in the Junior AAA League. He was a scout for the Titan the last three years.
Brett Morrison of the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies won the Telus Offensive Player of the Week Award. He had three goals and six assists in two games. He also had a +7. Dean Ouellet of the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles had four goals and two assist and was also considered. Jean Simon Allard of the St. John’s Fog Devils had a goal and six assists. The last finalist was Kesley Tessier who plays for Patrick Roy’s Quebec Ramparts had three goals and two assists.
T.J. Brennan of the St. John’s Fog Devils won the Telus Defensive Player of the Week with his game winning goal and four helpers. Quebec goaltender Kevin Desfossés had two wins with a 2.00GAA and a .944SV%. Tommy Legault of the Victoriaville Tigres had a 1-1 record with a 1.92GAA and a .937SV%. Marc-André Bourdon of the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies had a goal and five assists.
