SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) -The Tampa Bay Lightning keep finding new ways to lose on the road.
David Booth scored with 1:19 left in the third period and the Florida Panthers kept Tampa Bay winless on the road with a 4-3 victory Monday night.
"We've got to get that first one," said Tampa Bay wing Martin St. Louis. "We get one, we'll feel a little better."
The Lightning, who have lost six in a row overall, are off to a franchise-worst 0-7 start on the road.
"We're learning from this," said Tampa Bay defenseman Brad Lukowich. "The best thing for us is to stay positive. It's a struggle right now. But we've got to push the envelope and become even more positive."
Olli Jokinen, Ville Peltonen and Steve Montador also scored for the Panthers, who have won 11 of the past 13 meetings at the BankAtlantic Center. Jokinen also had two assists.
"They haven't won on the road, you definitely want to keep the cap on them," Jokinen said. "The first 40 minutes was better than the last 20. Vokoun made some big saves. We got a big goal by Booth at the end."
St. Louis, Lukowich and Michel Ouellet scored for the Lightning. Vincent Lecavalier had two assists.
Florida's Tomas Vokoun made 24 saves while Johan Holmqvist stopped 26 shots for Tampa Bay.
With the game tied 3-3, Booth scored his second goal of the season when he tipped in Ruslan Salei's slap shot from the point.
"It's my first one at home here in Florida, so it's a special one," said Booth, a second-year player whose first four career goals came on the road. "They were coming on strong. They wanted to get their first road victory."
The Panthers led 3-2 entering the third period before Ouellet tied the game at 3:40 when he one-timed Lecavalier's pass from the side of the net.
Montador, a defenseman who has been used as a wing, gave Florida a 3-2 lead at 10:26 of the second period with his first goal of the season. He beat Holmqvist with a high wrist shot from close range.
"Everybody does need to contribute," Montador said. "Booth got the game-winner and I got that one. Any way we can chip in offensively we re happy to do so."
The Panthers missed a chance to add to their lead when they failed to score on a 5-minute power play late in the second period. Tampa Bay's Nick Tarnasky was called for his second major penalty of the game when he boarded defenseman Mike Van Ryn.
