Linebacker Rey Maualuga reiterated today he would not turn pro even if he had a ``remarkable'' Rose Bowl.
``I don't think I'm going to have a remarkable game to change my mind,'' Maualuga said. ``I'm not going to change my mind.''

Smart guy. He won't fall into the same trap Lendale White and others did seeing dollar signs. Hopefully others will take a clue from him - they will be worth much more in the draft next year. Maybe even after a National Championship.
Way to show your off-field smarts Rey. It is a risky chance to stay one more year. However, it could pan out, as the Trojans could win a National Championship next season. If Rey stays healthy and totally dominates college football next season, then he could end up as a very high 1st round pick, versus possibly being a mid to low round 1st round or even a 2nd round pick in the 08 draft. Everyone knows how the NFL draft always turns out (huh Reg, Matt, LenDale, Dewayne and the rest). Fight On!
I don't think Ray would have been a 1st rounder
WHY isn't Rey a first rounder "pseudo" Kiper? Are you a pro scout? Cushing might have not gone in the first round. Rey's over pursuit is correctable and he is coachable.
Keith Rivers set the example. Lessons were learned from the Fred Matua & CO. mistakes.
