Chargers [Chargers] MRI Shows Tomlinson's Knee Got Worse Vs Patriots

An MRI performed on the knee of Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson reportedly has revealed that his four snaps in the AFC title game did further damage to a previously-injured MCL. Tomlinson says that he'll now need six more weeks to heal. He won't be playing in the Pro Bowl. "The Pro Bowl is not a concern," he said. "After not playing in the championship game, the Pro Bowl is the least of my concerns.” Tomlinson also addressed the criticism he received for leaving the January 20 game against the Patriots after only two series. "That's part of being in my position,” he said. "That's what the world does. It builds you up. Then when things don't go like people think they should, the criticism starts. This was clearly the worst I've been through. But it just confirms what I already knew. I've seen other guys go through it."

He is who I thought he is, and if you want to crown him, then crown him! Phillip rivers might have put his 2008 season on the line playing in that game. He's more of a man then Tomlinson will be. I don't care if the rehab would've set him back, the Chargers missed out on 16 points that could have helped them beat New England. Now the chargers are questionable at running because their no. 2 man is taking a hike, and the Chargers are cutting out Lorenzo Neal. Boy, what a way to rebuild for the playoffs with nothing to show for except Rivers is more of a man then Tomlinson will be.

When a QB has an injury to the knee, it's totally different than a running back's knee injury. Almost every carry, the knee gets contact..
