A few weeks ago when L.T. spent the biggest game of his career pouting on the bench, many questioned his toughness. L.T. came back firing through the media in the days following, stating he had a sprained MCL and couldn’t possibly stay in the game. L.T. says his sprained MCL was a two week injury resistance was futile. Not only did he not re enter the game, he sat on the bench crying with his helmet on and offered little to no help, advice, or encouragement to his team mates.

Well after reading todays news I found out Plaxico Burress sprained his MCL on Monday and played Super Bowl XLII regardless. Not only did Plaixco play the entire game with a sprained MCL, he also has a high ankle sprain and possibly torn ligaments… oh.. and he caught the game winning touchdown catch.

This goes back to what Deion Sanders said two weeks ago, if you are a big game superstar player, you DO NOT miss games like this. Unless it’s a disasterous injury that requires major surgery or threatens your career, you take a pain shot and get your ass out there on the field.
