Contenders?!?

Thanks to Giants quarterback, Eli Manning throwing three interceptions for touchdowns to the Vikes, we are back!

Darren Sharper scored on a 20 yarder, Dwight Smith scored on a 93 yarder (that Ben Leber tipped to him) and Chad Greenway scored on a 37 yarder.

Smith also had another interception that led to a Chester Taylor eight yard touchdown run.

The Vikes defense hurried Manning all day and had three sacks (Spencer Johnson, Leber, Fred Evans).Vikes defensive coordinator, Leslie Frazier had a great game plan today.

In a game where both Adrian Peterson and Antoine Winfield weren’t dressed, the Vikes started the game off with a 60 yard touchdown pass from Tarvaris Jackson to Sidney Rice. T-Jack was 10 of 12 for 129 and a touchdown. He also had five rushes for 38 yards. After today’s win, T-Jack is 5-2 as a starter this year.

The Giants scored a late junk td, but the Vikes crushed the Giants 41-17 at Giants Stadium.

Now at 5-6, the Vikes are contenders in the NFC. Amazing!

NEWT’S GAME BALLS
Offense – Tarvaris Jackson
Defense – Dwight Smith
Special Teams – Heath Farwell

Who would have thought this just a couple of weeks ago? T-Jack has actually looked good these last couple of games. As long as we stick to the run game and control the ball along with the "D" continuing its stellar playmaking, we could make some noise and bounce into the playoffs. Thats something NO ONE thought would happen except us Viking Faithful.
