How about them Tar Heels?
You know, there aren't many things Tyler Hansbrough can't do. He probably can't get an A in a Calculus class. He probably can't write a sonnet in iambic pentameter. And he also can't lose in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Hansbrough, Marcus, Danny and Bobby have never lost in the famed building. Neither have any other members of our team, save Quentin Thomas who lost his freshman year in Cameron, but then went on to win a national title, so we'll forgive his lone loss at Duke.
The Heels wrapped up the regular season with a 13-0 road record, a 14-2 ACC record, a 29-2 overall record and the ACC Regular Season championship. It was a good weekend all around for Tar Heels basketball as the women's team beat Duke on Sunday to win the ACC tournament. And, I don't think I did anything at the engagement party I attended during the game to horribly offend anyone. So, we're all feeling good going into the postseason.
Unfortunately, we didn't do quite as well with the picks this weekend, but I blame that on not being all that focused Thursday night. It had been a long week and I was trying to focus on the Heels game. I did finish 13-6 for the weekend. Let's take a closer look at the picks.
Best Pick: USC over Stanford - The Trojans got a much needed win to bolster their NCAA tournament resume and Stanford showed why every 1 and 2 seed is hoping that they get Stanford in their bracket. It was a rough week for the Cardinal, who lost a controversial game to UCLA after a highly questionable call gave the Bruins free throws to force overtime. Stanford hopes this week's trip to LA for the Pac-10 tourney.
Worst Picks: Indiana over Penn State - My exact quote was "even the dysfunctional Hoosiers are good enough to beat Penn State." Whoops. Apparently, they aren't good enough. This loss probably kills any hope Dan Dakich had of being named the permanent head coach at Indiana.
Nearest Miss: Louisville over Georgetown - This was a great game that even Condi Rice made an appearance for, and the teams didn't disappoint. It was a tight, if somewhat ugly game that befits the Big East. The Hoyas got a win on a late three. Both of these teams won on their home court so I'd love to see them play in the Big East final on a neutral court. And I still don't want Louisville in UNC's region.
This week we move on to the conference tournaments with tournament hopes and dreams being realized and crushed each night. It's a great week and we're fired up for the next four weeks of basketball. Hopefully, the Heels will be playing that whole time.
To close out tonight, here is the final Hangover Top Ten.
1. Memphis
2. UNC
3. UCLA
4. Kansas
5. Tennessee
6. Texas
7. Duke
8. Georgetown
9. Wisconsin
10. Louisville
We're going to call it a night, but enjoy all the mid-major conference tourneys this week before the big fellas take center stage this weekend.

You can tell Roy's a true hall of famer by the fact that he always has the team peaking this time of year! I say Heels number 1, baby! And the Rockets are sickbird as well.
Lee -- I'm going to VA tomorrow. I'll be hanging out in Richmond Friday night. Anything I should check out? RCal
