Warriors disgruntled O'Bryant sent back to D-League

Patrick O'Bryant's time with the Golden State Warriors has reached a new low. The No. 9 selection in the 2006 draft was sent down to the NBA Development League in what was essentially a swap for rookie center Kosta Perovic, whose NBA experience consists of just one game.

O'Bryant said earlier this season that he had zero desire to return to the D-League, where he played 25 games split over three stints last season, but the free-agent-to-be is contractually obligated to do so — unless he wants to walk away from the roughly $500,000 remaining on his contract.

Adam, do you even watch the warriors? O'bryant is slow and soft. Biedrins while not perfect hustles has quickness for a big and plays solid D. Just watch when he was in the game against Orlando...O'Bryant has some work to do if he wants to be solid...W's are the most exciting team in the league hands down!

Why is Nelson a hardass? Did you watch the last Friday's game vs. the Heat? In garbage time, Nelson was still coaching. He sees everything. He gave O'Bryant three 3 1/2 minutes to show what he can do. O'Bryant made numerous mistakes, the #1 , allowing a few uncontested drives for baskets. Biedrins would not do that. If you are suggesting O'Bryant should start over Biedrins, you are sadly mistaken.

I think Andris Biedrin's girlfriend at St. Marys plays better defense that POB. And she hustles more too.

Most exciting team? Who cares they will never win a championship with Nellie, we had that in Dallas a few years back. He's good at putting an exciting, high scoring team together, but when it is time for this team to compete for a championship then they will have to move on to a new coach who actually knows something about defense. And by the time they get to that point Nellie will start crying over something small, get "into it" with management and get booted. Nellie loves the underdog role. Anyway, back to the exciting team, enjoy it while it last........

POB is the opposite of Hustle. 'Hustle' is what makes the W's tick. B. Wright and Biedrins are the key for Warriors success in the playoffs as they will play D and Hustle for rebounds. I'm hoping Kosta Perovic can show something too.

pob will thankfully be on another team next year. despite his talent, he is a head case that the warriors don't need! he doesn't hustle, takes plays off and seemingly doesn't care. that why they made the trade to get brandon wright this year. he is another young talent that plays well and will be a future star along the lines of ellis and biedrins.

Hey #4 Adam D., what the heck to you mean he plays better D, than half the team? Do you see his numbers? He gets to go in during blow outs, meaning he is playing against the other teams 2nd or 3rd team, in those situations, he 2 pts , 2 blks and 4 rebounds in his last 3 appearances. WOW! Biedrins had that in the first quarter of the Orlando Magic game.

O'Bryant would be smart to go and showcase himself, it can only help him when he goes looking for new team this summer. Can't show anything sitting on the bench, and it will give him a chance to show he's a team player for his new team.

POB should be happy he's getting PT anywhere at this time of year, cuz it aint going to be with the big club come playoff stretch time. He is a nice role player but he just cant get deep enough on offense to unleash his mighty hook shot, and has a tough time keeping up with the 2nd team on offense.
Warriors vs Lakers would be an exciting matchup. Its a better matchup for us then say the Spurs or Jazz, but they still look tough to beat. Biedrins has always marked Bynum well, but Gasol kills us. If only Wright had some more confidence.

This guy should be thanking the W's for giving him top 10 money i didnt even know who this guy was when we drafted him(to be fair im not the best college b-ball fan in the world) but he has never showing anything and ab pulled away from all of the other centers on the team. Chris Mullin has finally realized not to keep scrubs around like he and the other gms of the past did with adonel foyle i still to this day have know idea why this guy was kept around for as long he was and for what they paid him.

let put it this way if he could play he would be lighting it up in the D-league but he is not... just because u complain doesnt mean you can play... before we knock nellie on his judgement calls lets just put it this way without him last year we would be in our probably 14th season of no playoffs...
O'B has a right to want to play... but he's not doing anything even in the D-league... some of the D-league people have to put up 20 point averages to get into the league... ask Azie how he got to the NBA...
if he took his assignment seriously in the D-league he would be playing now... he might be physically gifted but i think his b-ball IQ is very low...
i mean there are people that say why dont we play him, i say i dont really want him to be a factor in us loosing or anyone else that might not be ready for real minutes...

O'Bryant doesn't have the footwork and the defensive vision to follow offenses developing plays. Very impatient but when given the chance for minutes, does not convert it into showcasing what he has. Nellie NEEDS a big man to plug the middle and O'Bryant doesn't understand that when he gets the minutes. Big men will always find a spot in the league, just takes time for them to develop. Brendan Wright on the other hand is the perfect compliment to Nellie's run and gun style. He's the perfect 4 for this style of play and plays defense with his long arms and leaping ability.
