NCAA College Basketball Tournament Predictions

It's easy to predict the the future in sports, but It's more difficult to view the results after your predictions. The NCAA Tournament selections have been announced. How did we do in our picks?

1. SportProjections.com picked 64 out of 65 teams correctly in the tournament. (ESPN.com 65/65 - CBSSportsline.com 64/65)

2. The one team we missed was St. Joseph's. We selected Arizona State over St. Joe's. Do we smell some East coast bias? The reasons we selected Arizona State over St. Joesph's:

* The Pac-10 was arguably in the top two conferences in the country this season.(Big East being the other top conference).

* The Atlantic-10 conference had a down year outside of Xavier.

* Quality wins against teams who were selected in the tournament: St. Joe's - Siena(13 seed), Temple(12 seed), Xavier 2 times(3 seed), and Villanova(12 seed). Arizona State - Xavier by 22 points(3 seed), Oregon (9 seed), Arizona 2 times(10 seed), Stanford(3 seed), USC(6 seed).

3. SportProjections.com was:
* 4-0 on #1 seedings
* 3-1 on #2 seedings
* 2-2 on #3 seedings
* 2-2 on #4 seedings
* SportProjections.com had 11 of the 16 top seedings correct.

4. CBSSportsline.com was
* 3-1 on #1 seedings
* 2-2 on #2 seedings
* 3-1 on #3 seedings
* 2-2 on #4 seedings
* CBSSportsline.com had 10 of the 16 top seedings correct.

5. ESPN.com was
* 4-0 on #1 seedings
* 3-1 on #2 seedings
* 2-2 on #3 seedings
* 0-4 on #4 seedings
* ESPN.com had 9 of the 16 top seedings correct.

This is a big victory for the little guy. While millions of viewers continue to go to ESPN.com and CBSSportsline.com for the latest and greatest predictions from their "experts". A small staff of writers at SportProjections.com is able to beat the "big boys".

Soon sport fans will realize that passionate fans with the determination to blog and create their own sport's world on the internet have the same knowledge as these huge TV sport shows and websites.
