The news that the Dallas Cowboys are considering a trade with the Tennessee Titans for suspended cornerback Adam Pacman Jones is particularly interesting in light of the report from Marc Engel of the Star-Telegram that when Jones was coming out of college, the Cowboys were so skeptical of his ability to stay out of trouble that they took him off their draft board. You might think that if the Cowboys didn't want any part of Jones in 2005, they really wouldn't want any part of him in 2008, seeing as he's been arrested multiple times since then, has introduced the phrase "making it rain" to the lexicon and is currently suspended by the NFL. But that apparenlty isn't the case.
The Cowboys seem to have changed their minds about Jones for two basic reasons. The first is that they have a much more easy-going coach than they did in 2005, when Bill Parcells was running the show -- Parcells says he won't tolerate thugs and hoodlums, but current coach Wade Phillips doesn't have Parcells' hard-nosed approach.
The second is that the Cowboys are in a different place than they were in 2005. That year they were coming off a 6-10 season and were trying to build a team from the ground up. Now they're coming off a 13-3 season and they're thinking they could be just one star player away from a Super Bowl. If Jones' talents as a cornerback and kick returner can be the difference, then the Cowboys will welcome him, no matter what they thought of him in 2005.

chemistry is a tricky thing. what he adds in talent might be negated by what he brings into the lockerroom

Hopefully Jones is Not destined to come to Dallas.
A very troubled, dangerous, undisciplined youth in a man's body. Not worth risking even a '4' pic on ala Randy Moss. Although owner Jerry Jones has been quoted as "not ruling anything out" he'd be better off trying to pull a deal for WR Boldin, Williams or Johnson.

A second or above draft pick is worth the risk. Owens was more of a risk than Pacman would be. Owens can destroy a team. Pacman hurts himself.

The weakest part of the Cowboys is their pass defense. Pacman is definitely worth the risk of a secind round pick. It's all relative. I doubt there are many angels in the NFL.

If PacMan joins the Cowboys Skip Bayless will have the Dynamic Duo of Terrell Owens and PacMan Jones to throw tantrums about on First Take.

Pac Man to the Cowboys will be more distracting to the punk-ass pundits and blowhard bloggers than to the Cowboys locker room. The media will claim he is a distraction and then try to MAKE HIM A DISTRACTION by asking the Cowboys a bunch of stupid questions about him every press conference.
And some of you jackasses fall for it every time.
Dallas needs a corner. Pac Man can cover, and play special teams better than anyone the Cowboys have. He is not a risk. He'll be fine. The media is just taking preemptive steps to justify the 24-hour coverage that is sure to follow him every time he sneezes on the sideline.
And don't let him and TO have a disagreement (like all teammates do). It will be depicted as the fall of Rome.
