2007 Top 20 Pre Pro Fantasy Quarterbacks (Preseason)

Looking for a cheat sheet of the top 20 players to draft at each position? Here's our take on the elite QBs in the nation that you should be targeting in the early rounds of your draft. We'll list our Top 20 RBs tomorrow and the Top 20 WRs and Top 20 TEs on Friday.

Fantasy MVPs
1. Pat White, West Virginia (1655 PaYd, 13 PaTD, 7 PaINT, 1219 RuYd, 18 RuTD) - White isn't necessarily a top-flight passer, but he does tons of damage with his legs. He'll probably approach the 20 RuTD mark for the second consecutive season.

2. Colt Brennan (pic left via Meerkat Products), Hawaii (5549 PaYd, 58 PaTD, 12 PaINT) - Brennan set the world on fire last year with an incredible 58 TDs. His competition this season is terrible so we expect similar numbers, but we doubt he'll hit the 60 TD mark.

3. Graham Harrell, Texas Tech (4555 PaYd, 38 PaTD, 11 PaINT) With the Red Raiders' high octane offense still in place, Harrell should amass these same types of numbers.

4. Dan LeFevour, Central Michigan (3031 PaYd, 26 PaTD, 10 PaINT, 521 RuYd, 7 RuTD) - This guy tore up the Mid-American Conference as a freshman! Imagine what he'll do with a year of college ball under his belt.

5. Chase Holbrook, New Mexico State (4619 PaYd, 34 PaTD, 9 PaINT) - If you thought NCAA 2008 cover boy Jared Zabransky was the best QB in the WAC last year, guess again. Holbrook, only a junior, will make a national name for himself this year with his receiving corp returning in tact.

Fantasy Studs
6. Curtis Painter (pic left via Athlon), Purdue (3985 PaYd, 22 PaTD, 19 PaINT, 107 RuYd, 6 RuTD) - If Painter gets those INT numbers down, he could easily be in the Top 5. Purdue has one of the best receiving corps in the nation, and Painter will take advantage.

7. Brian Brohm, Louisville (3049 PaYd, 16 PaTD, 5 PaINT) - This potential first overall pick in the 2008 NFL draft would have put up monster numbers last year if he had been healthy all season. This year, he has familiar faces in Harry Douglass and Mario Urrutia to throw to.

8. Chase Daniel, Missouri (3527 PaYd, 28 PaTD, 10 PaINT, 379 RuYd, 4 RuTD) - Daniel is one of the most underrated QBs in the Big 12 and the nation. This offensive powerhouse could be one of the steals of your draft.

9. Matt Grothe, South Florida (2576 PaYd, 15 PaTD, 14 PaINT, 622 RuYd, 96 RuTD) - That's right, we've got 3 Big East QBs in the Top 10! You can mark down Big East Defensive Coordinator as one of the tougher coaching jobs in the nation. Grothe is another one of those guys who does just as much damage on the ground as he does through the air.

10. John David Booty, USC (2919 PaYd, 25 PaTD, 9 PaINT) - What will Booty do for an encore after his fantastic year last season? Well, he might struggle a little out of the gate as he gets used to his new receivers, but we still expect him to be in the top 10 when all is said and done.

Fantasy Standouts
11. Tim Tebow (pic left via The Decatur Daily), Florida (358 PaYd, 5 PaTD, 1 PaINT, 469 RuYd, 8 RuTD)
12. Justin Willis, SMU (2047 PaYd, 26 PaTD, 6 PaINT, 354 RuYd, 3 RuTD)
13. Chris Nickson, Vanderbilt (2085 PaYd, 15 PaTD, 13 PaINT, 694 RuYd, 9 RuTD)
14. Julian Edelman, Kent State (1859 PaYd, 10 PaTD, 11 PaINT, 658 RuYd, 7 RuTD)
15. Andre Woodson, Kentucky (3515 PaYd, 31 PaTD, 7 PaINT)
16. Colt McCoy, Texas (2570 PaYd, 29 PaTD, 7 PaINT)
17. Brian Johnson, Utah (did not play in 2006)
18. Nate Longshore, California (3021 PaYd, 24 PaTD, 13 PaINT)
19. Paul Smith, Tulsa (2727 PaYd, 15 PaTD, 9 PaINT, 288 RuYd, 8 RuTD)
20. Matt Ryan, Boston College (2942 PaYd, 15 PaTD, 10 PaINT)

No doubt, but from a fantasy perspective, he'll probably never have numbers that blow the competition away.
