ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Michigan football coach Rich Rodriguez says offensive lineman Justin
Boren has left the team.
Rodriguez told reporters at a news conference tonight about Boren's decision but declined to discuss specifics. Boren, who came to Michigan from Pickerington, Ohio, was to be one of two returning starters on the Wolverines' offensive line. A telephone listing for Boren was busy when called tonight. An e-mail seeking comment from Boren was sent by the Associated Press. The junior from Pickerington, Ohio, was expected to start at left guard or center after starting every game last season for the Wolverines. The announcement from Rodriguez was reported by The Ann Arbor News, the Detroit Free Press and The Detroit News.
