Today the Vikes agreed to terms with cornerback, Benny Sapp. Sapp is a 5-9, 190 pounds. In his four years with the Chiefs, he had 103 tackles and two picks.Sapp will battle Charles Gordon for the dime back position.
Also today, backup linebacker and special teams standout, Heath “Nails” Farwell signed his tender with the Vikes. Farwell is a star on special teams and I think he will develop into a solid linebacker someday.
Sapp becomes the seventh new Viking on defense. The Vikes have signed Derrick Pope and Dallas Sartz to add depth at linebacker. Ellis Wyms and Kendrick Allen were signed to add depth at defensive tackle. Madieu Williams will start at Free Safety for the Vikes and Michael Boulware will be the primary backup to both Williams and Darren Sharper.
On offense, the Vikes signed wide receiver, Bernard Berrian (pictured) to be their number one wideout. The Vikes signed Thomas Tapeh to replace Tony Richardson at fullback and signed Maurice Hicks to be the Vikes third down back/returner kind of like a Mewelde Moore.
Overall I would give the Vikes a B. They have upgraded in Berrian, Tapeh and Williams, got some good depth in Pope, Boulware and Hicks, but they are yet to address quarterback and defensive end.
Both QB and DE were thin in Free Agency, but the Vikes must make a move. With the NFL Draft quickly approaching, don’t be shocked to see the Vikes make a trade at one or both of these positions.

There's no move coming at QB, I wouldn't think.
I don't think Bollinger is a bad backup, so why spend the money on someone else?
Maybe they'll draft a guy in the 4th or 5th.
Minn has a great team , if the offense had been able to score in tight games we would have been in the playoffs . TJ has not proven himself , brooks looked terrible
last year . if you draft someone in the 4th or 5th you do so when you have a proven starter(like farve or brady) yeah I know Brady was a 6th but that is rare. I hope they pick someone in the 1rst or 2nd give TJ some competition and let the team win in the end
