Red Sox Fan Foiled in Attempt to Curse Yanks
Morning Edition, April 14, 2008 · The New York Yankees may have foiled an attempt to curse their new stadium. The construction workers on the site included a fan of the hated Boston Red Sox. While on the job recently, he buried a Red Sox jersey. Call it superstition, but the Yankees took it seriously. Over the weekend, workers cut through 2 feet of concrete to recover the jersey, and the Yankees say they're considering a lawsuit against the worker.
