Roy Williams Lost 30 Pounds?

Although I haven’t found a specific news clip citing the information, there is a lot of forum discussion about how apparently Roy Williams has lost 30 pounds.

This is actually intriguing news because you would think he is trying to increase his speed and coverage skills by dropping the extra weight that slows him down.
But earlier this year, I had read that the Dallas Cowboys were considering making Williams a linebacker. If that is the case, losing 30 pounds might not help him play at that position.

It’s obvious to me that Williams knows his job is in jeopardy. But as we all have heard, Dave Campo brought out the best in Williams. When Campo was in Dallas, Williams was truly a top safety. His play declined each year after Campo left, culminating in last year’s pitiful season.

Is Dave Campo going to save Roy Williams’ career?

its good to see that he’s doing something to try and get better…hopefully it works…I know the worse thing for me to see is him lined up across a tight end out wide…I already know thats a matchup he will lose…maybe this will help

I’m sure Roy’s not gay! lol But I hope he’s done something to improve his speed. I’d love to see him pick his game up and be better than ever!

Until he can perform at least like a NFL saftey i think supergay is about right lmao if he dont perform this year he may wanna add weight for LB or be unemployeed

i like that he’s pickin up speed, but i just hope he doesnt lose his hitting power, but im definitely excited to see him workin to beef up his coverage skills.

Forget the hitting. If he could regaing the ability to cover receivers that is 10-times more important.

Yeah 30 pounds is quite a bit. I would look pretty odd if I lost 30 pounds. I mean, I’d be at an ideal weight, but I’d still look freaking supergay.

It helps that Dave Campo is back and is coaching the secondary so hopefully Roy will improve. looks Campo will light a fire on Jenkins’ ass too.

Roy has had some pretty impressive interception through the years.  I am hoping Campo helps him better prepare and a better pass rush will make a difference.

[...] Apparently there’s a rumor floating around that Roy Williams, who Tuna famously said once was a biscuit away from being a linebacker, has forfeited 30 pounds. Again, this is a rumor and has not been substantiated by any field news organizations, but the unification communicating of it is here. [...]

Has anyone seen any pics of Roy? or any video clips? I’d like to see them if you have. The thought of a faster Roy Williams is exciting, because I really think he is the weakest part of our defense (only in pass situations). If we could shore up that part, then with our new corners, I think our defense could be the best we’ve seen in years.

I’m not one to normally comment about people’s sexual preference, but if he is gay I’m happy for him. Maybe he and Troy can get together and do the nasty. Joe Buck can watch.

easy tulip….i know that you are jealous, you never had a qb like troy….and dont give me that joe theisman crap!!

    Redskins Guy Says:

Lance! We’ve missed you buddy! I’ll take Sonny Jurgenson or Sammy Baugh over Troy any day.  I realize that’s ancient history but you did say "never."  Also, frankly, I give a lot more credit to Emmitt Smith and that offensive line than I do to Aikman.  Aikman was a very good QB who was perfect for the system he was in and was surrounded by exceptional talent and a lot of protection.

    Lance Says:

tulip,ya still have to throw the ball bro, and he is one of the most accurate passers in history, the only knock on aikman is that he could not play in bad weather, and as far  being surrounded by exceptional talent , you could say the same thing about montana………. i have a trade offer for you tulip…..if i trade you Roy williams…would you give me two of those fat sweaty cross dressing freaks, and a case of beer?

I’d love to but I can’t. They’re off on tour with Renaldo.By the way, I heard on the radio that Roy Williams is so ashamed he’s practicing by himself this week, before the rest of the players even arrive.  That’s kind of messed up.
