NBA All-Defensive Team

Kevin Garnett and Kobe Bryant headlines the NBA All-Defensive Team after leading the voting and receiving 52 points each from the voting panel. This is Garnett’s ninth Defensive Team selection and Bryant’s eighth. The All-Defensive Team selection will be an additional award for the two players who were recently award NBA Defensive Player of the Year (Garnett) and Most Valuable Player (Bryant).
The NBA All-Defensive First Team:
Guard Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers
Guard Bruce Bowen, San Antonio Spurs
Center Marcus Camby, Denver Nuggets
Forward Kevin Garnett, Boston Celtics
Forward Tim Duncan, San Antonio Spurs
Rounding up the NBA All-Defensive Second Team:
Guard Raja Bell, Phoenix Suns
Guard Chris Paul, New Orleans Hornets
Center Dwight Howard, Orlando Magic
Forward Tayshaun Prince, Detroit Pistons
Forward Shane Battier, Houston Rockets
The voting panel, consisted of the 30 head coaches from the league, was asked to vote for the Defensive First Team and Second Team by position. The coaches were not allowed to vote for any players from their own team.
