Venus Williams defeated little sister Serena Williams in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4, on a windy day at the All England Club to secure the fifth Wimbledon singles title of her career.
It was the seventh time Venus played Serena in a Grand Slam final, and only the second time that Venus won. It's the seventh Grand Slam singles title for Venus Williams, who has also won the U.S. Open twice.
"I can't believe that it's five," Venus said afterward. "When you're in the final against Serena Williams, five seems so far away."
The Williams sisters will be back on Centre Court at Wimbledon one more time, playing together in the doubles final.

Magnificant match and victory is all I can say about Venus' win over sister Serena. She is a very deserving individual and in my opinion has a class about her lacking in some of the current female players. She is not a falsely made up of greatness like some of the media darlings of the past few years but a truely gifted player and champion.

Venus and Serena are phenomenal tennis players. All i
said is,"May the best woman win, and to no avail that
was Venus! I was so elated to watch Venus win her 5th
Wimbledon championship. Also, it was amazing to see
Venus hit her dynamite 129 mph serve and beat her own record. At Serena interview after she lost, I understand her being sad, but she wasnt happy for Venus, and that wasnt sisterly at all. Venus kept her
win very low key, and this was her fifth win, now this is sisterly.I know there is much more to come from venus, you aint seen nothing yet, the best is yet to come, and age aint nothing but a number.
Congratulation Miss Venus Williams Wimbledon!

Thank you, Venus and Serena, for representing the USA and for not showing up on the court dressed like hookers.

Serena reminds me of the woman that used to come by once a month and clean my house. Only she wore a do rag. I had to fire her, though. She was stealing things while I was at work. Since she had seven kids, I didn't have the heart to press charges.
Ironic, isn't it? If it weren't for this sport that their dad thinks is so racist, his daughters might be working at Merry Maids- sort of a "rags to riches to rags" story.

And Rusty, poor rusty, You seem to be of such poor class that you have help hired from Merry Maids, thats your first problem.
Sort out a proper agency with reliable help.
Then go back to porking your cousin/wife.

Hey Rusty,
You sound like one ignorant racist pig! You just can't stand that a Black person won this typically White dominated game. Get over it. Bet you can't play tennis and your mama works at Molly Maid.

I don't have a sister. Would you mind introducing me to yours, Ryan?
If Justine hadn't retired, we wouldn't be having this pleasant conversation. She would have carved them up like a roast.

TO RUSTY- Serena really was my maid years ago when I live in L.A. She would drive from Compton all the way across town to where I lived in Rolling Hills near the country club. She could see the people playing tennis from my house. I remember her saying, "Damn! I wish I could do dat!" I told her to " give it a try, you never know. Arthur Ashe did it." Then she said, "Who's he?"
I told her to never give up on her dreams. Me and my big mouth.
I had to fire her, too. The girl would steal anything that wasn't nailed down.
