A no-hitter! It’s a no-hitter for Kyle Farnsworth! Sort of.
The New York Yankee reliever pitched a perfect 8th inning last night, and has now retired 27 hitters (9 innings worth, of course), without allowing a hit.
Farnsworth, amazingly, doesn’t even have the longest hitless streak in the Yankee bullpen. Edwar Ramirez has retired 29 batters without surrendering a hit.
Who needs Joba Chamberlain in the bullpen, anyway?

didn’t think i had it in me did you yankee fans…maybe you can all stop throwing batteries at me when i’m warming up in the bullpen now.
well, we have to throw something. maybe for now we’ll just throw little spongy balls that won’t hurt. but, since we know an implosion is only a pitch away, we have to continue to stay ready.
