Shaq Campaigning For J-Dub
The Phoenix Suns have an all-but-complete roster. With Shaq holding down center court, the only thing they are missing is a decent back-up point guard who can come in and provide solid minutes while Steve Nash rests, lying on his aging and sore back on the sidelines in his warm-ups.
The Suns have a few options to consider. There are veterans Damon Stoudamire and Sam Cassell. But Shaq is pushing for his old buddy from Miami, Jason Williams.
This entire situation hinges on whether or not the Suns can sign second-round draft pick Goran Dragic in the off season. A veteran free agent would serve as a back-up plan.
Williams would fit in nicely with the reorganized Suns, especially since he has played with Shaq in the not-so-distant past.
As long as Shaq stays away from such campaign slogans as “tell me how my a** tastes,” I think he might be able to make a good case for Jason Williams.

Shaq is old and lazy, I’m not sure how wise it is for Phoenix to build a team around what Shaq wants. They’ll be lucky if he is healthy enough to play half of the season, and even those games that he does play, he only can hang for 24 minutes.
