Another Green from Arizona

While the team doesn't have room for him, I thought his performance was worth acknowledging. 2B Andy Green spent parts of three seasons in the majors with the DBacks, in 226 ABs he hit .199. While his primary position is 2B, he is a utility player who can play all eight positions. Green was signed in July as depth and hasn't stopped hitting since he came aboard. The 31 y/o right hander is batting .329, tonight he went 3-5 and hit his seventh home run of the season. Like I said the Mets don't have room for him, if an infielder gets a call-up at roster expansion I have to believe it will be Ramon Martinez but it seems like every time I look at the Zephyrs box scores Green is having a multiple hit game and I thought he should get recognized for the accomplishment.......
