1)
Carl Edwards (Previous position: 2
nd) -
Sweeping Michigan helps this driver move into first place. His car was
almost unbeatable throughout the whole race.
2) Kyle Busch (Previous position: 3rd) - Having better
finish than Jimmy Johnson moves him into second place. His second place
finish still keeps this driver really hot.
3) Jimmie Johnson (Previous position: 1st) -
Another week where he had to battle from tire problems was not a great thing to
see. He did finish the race in 17th place which was much
better finish than other drivers in my rankings.
4) Jeff Burton (Previous position: 7th) - Burton
finished eleventh at Michigan which is solid, but was not a factor all race
long. He still stays in fifth spot in the Sprint Cup standings which is
solid.
5) Dale Earnhardt Jr. (Previous position: 5th) - He was solid for most of the race
and then after a hit with the wall late in the race caused him to finish 23rd
on the day. He still stays in third place in the Sprint Cup standings.
6) Martin Truex Jr. (Previous position: 6th) -
With other drivers stinking up the joint this week he moves up to sixth
spot. He's just another driver on this list who was not a factor at all
in the race.
7) Matt Kenseth (Previous position: 10th) -
A top five finish for this driver moves him up to seventh place in my rankings.
He also moved up two spots in the Sprint Cup Standings.
8) Kasey Kahne (Previous Position: 4th) -
Kahne started to move up, but then wound up with some engine problems causing
him to finish 40th on the day. He also moved down three spots
in the Sprint Cup standings which is not good at all.
9) Kevin Harvick (previous Position: N/A) - A
top ten finish moves this guy back onto the list. He also moved up three spots
in the Sprint Cup standings. He finished great while other drivers on the list
did not and fell off my list.
10) David Ragan (Previous Position: N/A) - Finishing
third place at Michigan helps moves this driver back onto the list. He
looks like he really wants to be in the chase.
Biggest gainer:
Jeff Burton and Matt Kenseth - 3
Biggest loser:
Kasey Kahne - 4
Off List:
Clint Boyer and Jeff Gordon
New to list: David
Ragan and Kevin Harvick
