WTF? This list can’t be right!
I was under the impression from this site that small market teams where cheap. Especially the Arizona Cardinals ($3.5 million) who have the 4th least amount of space and Cincinnati Bengals ($6.4 million) who have the 10th.
Pretty sure this list cant be right (family owned business) Pittsburgh Steelers only has $1.7 million.

Please, someone explain to me how the Bills have $20 million under, with Jason Peters holding out, and Lee Evans playing in his final contract year… Ralph Wilson is the Cheapest SOB ever!!!

That is what happens when you constantly pick in the top ten and have to pay top ten pick money. Believe me I’m a Cards fan, I know.

While nobody would disagree with the fact that Ralph Wilson is a frugal owner, realize that just because there is a salary cap doesnt mean that all teams can afford to spend that much, and Buffalo is not exactly the most lucrative market in the NFL. Good evidence of this is comparing the new Colts stadium that the bills helped open last night (by dominating), with Ralph Wilson stadium. Imagine being a player on the Bills visiting a stadium like that and then having to go back to good ol’ Orchard Park. Its no wonder why they have so much trouble retaining talent.

Yeah xjramirez is right, look at the Lions. No depth, crappy team but when you keep drafting busts in the top 10 you’re screwed. Looks like Roy won’t be around for long.
They really can’t afford to tank it like 2 years ago. mid 1st round pick would be nice. Maybe is they end up with a top 5 pick they’ll finally fire Millen.

The Bills do not retain talent because they refuse to pay the price. They understand that they can sell out just about every game, without bothering to put a good team on the field. Therefore, they actually make more money with a lousy team, because they avoid high salaries. Ralph Wilson’s success at this strategy can be seen by the fact that the team that he bought for $ 50,000 is now worth between $800 - $900 million!

That is why the Eagles trade down in the first round.
They refuse to pay top dollar for unproven talent
at any and every position on the field.

The packers released the financial report for last season and I believe they were 10-15 million under the cap and made a 20 million profit.
So most of these teams that do not have much cap space can not be to profitable considering the packers are a top tier franchise.
Which is why the owners want to go back to the table and get a new deal.

Fade 2 Black…
Yeah, KC really does need to go shopping but I’m not sure they have enough cap space. This team is in real trouble this season.
