With all the hoopla of the "To Hell with Michigan" comments, this heated rivalry wouldn't be complete with its bout of ridiculous rumors. Here are two rumors running around pretty fast on the Notre Dame campus:
1.) James Aldridge was upset on Saturday that he didn't play, that he drowned his sorrows with a few adult beverages and was supposedly picked up by the SBPD for a DUI.
and
2.) That David Grimes left practice early yesterday and was taken to the hospital.
As of this moment, I can neither confirm nor deny these rumors. Grimes didn't look any different when he did spreak with the media today, but you never know. So if anyone else has heard such, please post.

Why on earth would you want to post rumors about a young man getting in trouble with the law? How would you feel if he was your son and some guy on the internet decided to spread this kind of talk? In reading your profile, you proclaim to love Notre Dame. However I can't see how rumor-mongering about ND students is consistent with any kind of true loyalty to the University. You should be ashamed.
I clicked here hoping that for the sake of these guys you were going to refute the rumors, but all I found was a bad excuse to add to the rumor mill. Honestly, what possible good does this post serve?
Take my word for it, NOT TRUE. These guys are at college and have a good time, but they're smarter than that.
How nice that you list players as "questionable" based on rumors. Get the facts and get a life. Try supporting the players/team instead of just generating internet hits on your site.

These rumors are the type that uM(sucks) fans beat us over the heads with. They'll scream cover up if nothing comes of it. I suggest some careful consideration be given prior to asking on the internet to confirm a rumor.

Rumor. Gip definitely put the word "Rumor" in his title. Its the first word in the title of the entry....so thats enough disclaimer for me.
I think you guys are picking a fight. He's not publishing it as fact. Heck, the reason why most people read these blogs and boards is for rumors. If either of these things end up being true, all of you will tell your people "I head about this on a blog last week...."
If you weren't looking for dirt, then Eric Hansen does a great job covering the stuff between the lines.

Sure, it may be silly to jump to conclusions, but it's not like people are just making rumors up because they are fun to do. Ease up people. Looks like Grimes may have been fighting an injury all along.
