Was dealing with a migraine. Back on track now.

NBA
:: Inside Hoops: Aaron McKie to be Sixers assistant - McKie had a long history in Philly. And the city's teams treat loyal players with a lot of class. He'll sit next to the Hot Chair's current former-Sixer occupant, Maurice Cheeks.

:: ESPN: Arenas mum so media could focus on healthy Wizards, guard says - Gilbert Arenas decided to not talk to the media so he didn't detract from the younger players on the team. About his decision not to talk, he said this:
I felt that training camp, I wasn't going to be involved, playing and going out there practicing, so I shouldn't be grabbing all the spotlight.

:: NJ.com: Carter thinks New Jersey Nets can make playoffs - Vince Carter thinks the Nets are a top 8 team in the conference.
I think this is a year to just get back to where we were. Sitting out of the playoffs wasn't fun. I think we had the ability to (make the playoffs) last year regardless of what happened through the year.

:: Slam Dunk Central: Starbury Wants Knicks To Make A Decision On His Status - Attention: Stephon. We are tired of caring. Shut and play, or let the Knicks get rid of you.

Shawn Kemp and Sun Ming Ming updates after the jump.

Europe
:: The Hoop: Montegranaro Waived Kemp and Announce Hunter - Shawn Kemp is sorry it didn't work out in Italy. I'm sure Montegranaro feels the same way. In the same announcement they showed off their new power forward, Brandon Hunter. Hunter is a journeyman who's bounced around Italy for the last few years.

:: CSKA Basket: CSKA - in the Kondrashin and Belov Cup final - The Red Army found success in their second pre-season cup. Terence Morris' 19 points lead CSKA to a thrilling 68-66 overtime win over Spartak St. Pete.

:: X's and O's: Tau Ceramica Deflections Lead to Easy Transition - Coach analyzes some Spanish Supercopa Espana action.

Asia
:: Taiwan Hoops: Guanhu Cup: Two teams eliminated, quarterfinals begin - Sun Ming Ming's new team Phoenix is through to the quarters and will face the Singapore Slingers, formerly of the NBL.
