Coach Likes Warriors’ Rookie

The Golden State Warriors’ number 14th pick in the 2008 NBA Draft is surely making a name for himself at the start of the NBA season. According to sources, Anthony Randolph has been doing exceptionally well in training camp and is expected to play during the preseason.
Coach Don Nelson loves what he sees in Anthony thus far and has been clear in stating that Randolph is competing for a backup forward position along with Brandan Wright, who was last year’s draft pick via Charlotte Bobcats. Apparently, Branden has not been living up to expectations due to his lack of aggression and assertiveness on the basketball court.
“Randolph is getting better every day and at this point he’s ahead (of Wright),” Nelson said. “Wright needs to be more aggressive and show that he can play in his second year in the league. He’s got to start stepping up.”
