Fantasy Football Week 6 Rankings - Wide Receivers

Week 5 saw Randy Moss and Andre Johnson play up to their fantasy potential as both wide receivers had 17+ fantasy points. Will week 6 be more of the same with Braylon Edwards and Torry Holt? Can Santana Moss bounce back after his week 5 outing that yielded 0 catches and left him behind brother Sinorice in fantasy production for the week? Will Larry Fitzgerald once again be ok without Anquan Boldin on the opposite side of the field? Is Isaac Bruce going to continue to teach these young whipper snapper corner backs a lesson? How will Plaxico Burress' return to the line-up effect the value of the rest of the Giants' wide receivers? Find out answers to all these questions and more in the Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Week 6 Wide Receiver Rankings.

----------------------

1. Larry Fitzgerald (Arizona Cardinals) vs. Dallas

The absence of Anquan Boldin did cause a dip in Fitz's yardage production in week 5 as constant double teams prevented the stud wideout from breaking off any long gains, leaving him with just 52 yards on the day; however, those double teams couldn't prevent Fitz from catching the ball in the endzone, something he did twice in week 5. Fitz now has 4 straight double digit fantasy outings and a 5th should be on the way as the Cardinals air it out against the Cowboys in week 6.
Point Projection: 18 points

----------------------

2. Terrell Owens (Dallas Cowboys) @ Arizona

17 targets in week 4 for a total of 14 fantasy points. 3 targets in week 5 for a total of 12 fantasy points. Sometimes, T.O, it's not the number of targets you get, but what you do with them that matters. T.O. should do plenty with the opportunities he gets in week 6 as he faces an Arizona Cardinals pass D that has given up 9 TDs on the year.
Point Projection: 17 points

----------------------

3. Randy Moss (New England Patriots) @ San Diego

The Bruno Boys predicted that the Patriots would use the bye to figure out how to get Moss the ball, and we were right on, as Moss hauled in 5 catches for 111 yards, including a 66-yard score against the 49ers this past week. The outing has to ease Moss' owners' fears that the wide out would revert to his Oakland Raider form with Matt Cassel under center. Expect another big day as Moss matches-up against the worst pass defense in the league according to the statistics.
Point Projection: 17 points

----------------------

4. Greg Jennings (Green Bay Packers) @ Seattle

Don't look now, but it appears Jennings may have found that knack for the endzone that made him so popular in fantasy circles in 2007. After going without a TD during the first 3 weeks of the season, Jennings has crossed the goal-line 3 times in the Packers' last two games. The streak continues against a Seahawks secondary that ranks 25th in the league against the pass.
Point Projection: 16 points

----------------------

5. Brandon Marshall (Denver Broncos) vs. Jacksonville

A Broncos' wide receiver with the name of Brandon did reach double digit fantasy points in week 5; unfortunately, for Marshall's owners it was Brandon Stokley that got the job done against the Bucs. Still, we don't expect to hear a lot of complaining out of Marshall's owners. Despite the poor showing in week 5, Marshall still occupies the number 1 receiving spot on a high octane offense and will have more good games than bad ones.
Point Projection: 16 points

----------------------

6. Santana Moss (Washington Redskins) vs. St. Louis

Let us first assure all of you Santana Moss owners' that the diminutive wide out did not leave the Redskins game against the Eagles early because of injury. Nope, Moss was on the field the whole day, despite not hauling in a single pass. The Eagles made it a priority to shut down Moss, who had started the season red hot, in the hopes of slowing down the Redskins offense. Since Washington went on to score 23 points and get the win, we don't see many teams around the league copying the Eagles' strategy.
Point Projection: 15 points

----------------------

7. Roddy White (Atlanta Falcons) vs. Chicago  **QUESTIONABLE**

There were concerns heading into the season regarding how White would fair with a rookie single caller under center. But, seeing as White had 1,202 yards and 6 TDs in 2007 despite the horrendous QB carousel they were using down in Atlanta, fantasy owners should have known better. For those that did snag White, the wide out is rewarding them handsomely, going for a combined 45 fantasy points in his last 3 games. He should add significantly to that total against a Bears' defense that is currently giving up 223.4 passing yards per game.
Point Projection: 15 points

----------------------

8. Plaxico Burress (New York Giants) @ Cleveland

After seeing the Giants put up 44 points on Seattle, Burress' owners had to be frustrated with the wide receiver for the one-game suspension he earned himself, though all will be forgotten after Plax rejoins the team this week and puts up big numbers against the Browns on Monday Night. Eli Manning's in a zone and Plax and all the Giants receivers will benefit.
Point Projection: 15 points

----------------------

9 Reggie Wayne (Indianapolis Colts) vs. Baltimore

Let's face it, after 4 weeks of football the Colts don't look like the Colts we have all come to know and love. Their 2 -2 record, which could very well be 0-4, is a strong indication of that, but despite the team's struggles, Reggie Wayne continues to perform at a level that makes him WR1 worthy in fantasy football. On the season, Wayne is averaging a healthy 12.75 fantasy points per game. The Colts might struggle as a whole against a tough Ravens defense, but Wayne will still find a way to get his, he always does.
Point Projection: 14 points

----------------------

10. Steve Smith (Carolina Panthers) @ Tampa Bay

It's a bit tough gaging Smith this week. For one, he did leave this past Sunday's game with a shoulder injury, something all of Smith's owners need to keep an eye on during the week. Secondly, Smith has a checkered history against these Bucs. In 2007, the wideout was held to under 50 receiving yards in each contest with Tampa Bay, but in 2006, he torched them for over 100 yards in each match-up. Seeing as Delhomme was around for the 2006 games and not the 2007 ones and the two seem to be on the same page again this season (they hooked up for 96 yards in week 5), we like Smith to have a solid outing.
Point Projection: 14 points

----------------------

11. Andre Johnson (Houston Texans) vs. Miami

After earning a combined 5 fantasy points in weeks 3 and 4, Johnson exploded for 19 in week 5 on 131 yards receiving and a score. Was it the switch to Sage Rosenfels that elevated Johnson's game? The Bruno Boys don't think so, rather we believe Johnson just finally lived up to his potential. I mean, this is the guy who went for 13+ fantasy points in 7 of the 9 games he played last season. So, even if the Texans go back to Schaub, feel comfortable having Johnson in your line-up.
Point Projection: 14 points

----------------------

12. Laveranues Coles (New York Jets) vs. Cincinnati

Coles has gone from 0 fantasy points to 7 to 13 to 28 over the Jets' first four games, do we expect that growth to continue? No, 56 points would be a little ridiculous (even if the Jets did put up that number in week 4), but we do feel Coles' new found rapport with Brett Favre makes the Jets wide out a boarder line WR1 play.
Point Projection: 14 points

----------------------

13. Marques Colston (New Orleans Saints) vs. Oakland

The New Orleans Saints received good news when playmaker Marques Colston was cleared to play in Week 6 after missing four games with a broken collarbone. Even if it's first game back from injury, Colston is one of the best wide receivers in football and he should be able to post solid statistics against a Raiders secondary that is ranked in the middle of the pack against the pass. Start him with confidence!
Point Projection: 13 points

----------------------

14. Isaac Bruce (San Francisco 49ers) vs. Philadelphia

Need to find the fountain of youth? Why not start your search by asking Bruce? The 35 year-old wide out has rejuvenated his career in the City by the Bay, serving as the San Francisco 49ers' top wideout in Mike Martz's potent offense. Bruce has found pay dirt in each of the last 3 games. And, while the Eagles are stingy in giving up passing yards, they have allowed 7 scores in 5 games this season.
Point Projection: 13 points

----------------------

15. Wes Welker (New England Patriots) @ San Diego

It might surprise people to find out that Welker actually has 14 more targets than Randy Moss on the season. Granted, Welker's longest catch has gone for just 26 yards. Still, working the slot and receiving that many targets, it's only a matter of time until Welker springs one. We like his chances to do so in week 6 against the Chargers' 32nd pass defense.
Point Projection: 12 points

----------------------

16. Calvin Johnson (Detroit Lions) @ Minnesota

Megatron has enormous talent; unfortunately, it appears not many other Lions' do. With Mike Martz gone, Detroit is an offense without an identity and that will prevent Johnson from rising to the upper echelon of wide receivers; however, his superb talent alone makes him a WR2 fantasy play. Also, make note that Jon Kitna is expected to miss this matchup with back spasms, though we don't see it hindering the value of Johnson.
Point Projection: 12 points

----------------------

17. TJ Houshmandzadeh (Cincinnati Bengals) @ New York Jets

With Housh catching two more Carson Palmer TDs in the Bengals valiant effort against the Dallas Cowboys in week 5, it's obvious he's the go-to receiver for the QB. Over 5 weeks of play, Housh has received 19 more targets (48-29) than Ocho Cinco, and if he gets anywhere near the 9.8 looks he's averaging a game, he should have no problem being productive against the Jets and their 31st ranked pass defense. However, what is keeping us from ranking him in the top 5 is that Carson Palmer will miss the Bengals Week 6 game, thus unproven Ryan Fitzpatrick will be throwing Housh the football.
Point Projection: 12 points

----------------------

18. Torry Holt (St. Louis Rams) @ Washington

Upon being named the Rams' interim head coach, Jim Haslett made it a point to iterate that he will try to get Holt the ball. Week 6 will prove whether Haslett is a man of his word or not. We believe he is! Look for the Rams to come out of the bye week with a plethora of plays for Holt, which should translate into a good week for the wideout against a sub-par defensive pass unit.
Point Projection: 11 points

----------------------

19. Jerricho Cotchery (New York Jets) vs. Cincinnati

After a 1-2 start, it appeared the New York Jets didn't quite know how to utilize their new toy, Brett Favre, best. But, they sure learned quick, opening the playbook in week 4 against the Arizona Cardinals, allowing Favre to sling the football 34 times. In those 34 pass atempts, Favre threw 6 TDs, the first time he reached that number in his career. Now, that the Jets know how to use Favre, good things should be in store for Cotchery and the rest of the Jets wide outs.
Point Projection: 11 points

----------------------

20. Roy Williams (Detroit Lions) @ Minnesota

Apparently, the Lions want to keep Williams happy, or they're trying to up his trade value, but whatever the case be, Williams saw 18 targets this past week against the Chicago Bears. Williams hauled in 7 of those for 96 yards. If Williams gets half those targets in week 6, his owners will be in for another productive day. Against the Vikings last season, Williams totaled 196 yards and a TD. Even with Dan Orlovsky under center the Lions will be trailing and forced to pass the majority of the second half.
Point Projection: 11 points

----------------------

21. Bobby Engram (Seattle Seahawks) vs. Green Bay

Engram was the lone bright spot in the Seahawks embarrassing 44 to 6 loss to the New York Giants. In his first action of the 2008 season, Engram hauled in 8 passes for 61 yards. More importantly, he was targeted 12 times by QB Matt Hasselbeck, proving he will be the go-to-guy as long as he stays healthy.
Point Projection: 10 points

----------------------

22. DeSean Jackson (Philadelphia Eagles) @ San Francisco

Jackson's quick adjustment to the NFL game was quite shocking, but I guess that happens when your speed matches the speed of the game. Even in a one catch day last Sunday, Jackson still salvaged things by returning a punt. Continue to ride the young wide out, but expect ups and downs and know that not all the downs will be saved by a punt return.
Point Projection: 10 points

----------------------

23. Bernard Berrian (Minnesota Vikings) vs. Detroit  **QUESTIONABLE**

Monday Night was a perfect example as to why the Vikings lured Berrian away from the Bears with a 6-year $43.4 million deal. Hauling in 6 receptions for 110 yards and a score, Berrian was a big part of the Vikings' dramatic win over the Saints. But, his biggest play won't show up in the boxscore as Berrian drew a crucial pass interference call that helped set up Ryan Longwell's game-winning field goal. Look for the Vikings to reward Berrian with plenty of targets against a weak Lions secondary.
Point Projection: 10 points

----------------------

24. Braylon Edwards (Cleveland Browns) vs. New York Giants

Edwards has been nothing but a huge disappointment this season. Not only has he not had a 100 yard game, he hasn't even totaled 100 yards in 4 games. Likewise, the man who found the end-zone 16 times last season, has reached paydirt just once. That trip to the endzone came in week 4 before the Browns' bye and his owners have to hope he can build off it from here on out. You can't quite bench Edwards yet, but he's not the WR1 you drafted him as.
Point Projection: 9 points

----------------------

25. Donald Driver (Green Bay Packers) @ Seattle

Driver may not be the 1000 yard receiver he has been in year's past, but with the right match-up he does still make for a solid WR2. The Seahawks are that type of match-up. Fresh off a disappointing performance against the Giants, the Seahawks are allowing 237 passing yards per game and have given up 7 passing TDs on the year.
Point Projection: 8 points

----------------------

26. Muhsin Muhammad (Carolina Panthers) @ Tampa Bay

It's like good ol' times down South in Carolina with Steve Smith and Muhsin Muhammad lining up on opposite sides of the field again, and the passing game is rolling with Jake Delhomme going for over 230 yards and 2 TDs in each of the team's last two outings. Muhammad has been a big part of that going for 218 yards and 2 scores over that span. He's turning into an excellent WR2 play.
Point Projection: 8 points

----------------------

27. Steve Breaston (Arizona Cardinals) vs. Dallas

Breaston stepped up in Boldin's absence in week 5, hauling in 7 passes for 77 yards. He will get the start again in week 6 and makes for a solid bye week or flex play as the Cardinals should be in a shootout with Dallas.
Point Projection: 7 points

----------------------

28. Matt Jones (Jacksonville Jaguars) @ Denver

Jones only caught 2 balls in week 5 against the Steelers, but still was targeted by David Garrard 6 times. Those 6 targets keep our faith in Jones, especially as the Jaguars get set to face the 30th ranked pass defense in the league in the Denver Broncos.
Point Projection: 7 points

----------------------

29. Lance Moore (New Orleans Saints) vs. Oakland

Just when you think you have pinpointed the New Orleans Saints most valuable receiver, Monday Night Football happens. On the big stage, it was Devery Henderson who got the job done, going for 104 yards and a TD; however, don't give up on Moore just yet despite his 31 yard effort. Even if Colston does play (which he is expected to), Moore did catch 5 balls on Monday Night, and still has good value.
Point Projection: 7 points

----------------------

30. Devin Hester (Chicago Bears) @ Atlanta

Hester has tallied 9 and 10 fantasy points in the last two weeks, and in that span, the return phenom has not run a kick back. That's right, Hester is beginning to exhibit fantasy value as a wide receiver. With Matt Forte forcing defenses to play close to the line, Kyle Orton is getting a chance to make plays, and the QB is making them, giving some unexpected fire power to this Bears' offense. The passing game should continue to roll against the 23rd ranked Falcons pass defense.
Point Projection: 7 points

----------------------

31. Amani Toomer (New York Giants) @ Cleveland

Eli Manning has matured, and the biggest sign of that maturation is his willingness to spread the ball around. No longer does Manning simply look to go to Plax; he reads through his progressions and looks for the open man. That's beneficial to Toomer as the team's second receiver.
Point Projection: 7 points

----------------------

32. Brandon Stokley (Denver Broncos) vs. Jacksonville

With his 11 point effort against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Stokley made it two strong outings in a row. A third is on the horizon as it appears the Broncos will be without Eddie Royal against the Jags. That should mean extra work for Stokley, always good news when you're a Bronco's wide receiver and Jay Cutler is throwing you the ball.
Point Projection: 7 points

----------------------

33. Marvin Harrison (Indianapolis Colts) vs. Baltimore

While Reggie Wayne can still get things going despite the Colts' offensive struggles, Harrison's value is now determined by the offenses' success. Just another sign that Wayne has supplanted Harrison as Peyton's number one option. The Colts offense has struggled so far this season and so too has Harrison's production. The Colts won't be able to get much rolling against Baltimore, which means Harrison is a boarder line WR3 / Flex option for week 6.
Point Projection: 6 points

----------------------

34. Devery Henderson (New Orleans Saints) vs. Oakland

Henderson put together his second double digit fantasy performance on the year in week 5 as he caught 4 passes for 104 yards and a TD. However, the most notable thing about Henderson's week 5 performance were the 11 targets he received from QB Drew Brees, 7 more than his previous high for the season. With Brees having more trust in Henderson, he'll be a bit more consistent than before.
Point Projection: 6 points

----------------------

35. Chad Johnson (Cincinnati Bengals) @ New York Jets

It used to be in the world of fantasy football that looking at Marvin Harrison and Chad Johnson's names meant you were still just getting through the top 10. Now, both wide receivers are on the outside looking in at the top 30. Johnson who used to be able to go for 20 fantasy points in a game, is still not at that total after 5 games of the 2008 season. He's not quite droppable yet, but he should be riding the pine.
Point Projection: 6 points

----------------------

36. Vincent Jackson (San Diego Chargers) vs. New England **QUESTIONABLE**

Jackson actually has more receptions, targets, and receiving yards than teammate, Chris Chambers; however, Chambers has a huge lead in the all important TD category with 5 scores to Jackson's one. With Chambers dealing with a high ankle sprain, perhaps Jackson can get Rivers to look his way near the goal-line this week.
Point Projection: 6 points

----------------------

37. Antonio Bryant (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) vs. Carolina

As long as Joey Galloway is out, and possibly even upon his return, it is Bryant that will be getting the most targets out of the Bucs wide outs. In the world of fantasy football, targets mean opportunity. Bryant has yet to take full advantage of his opportunities, but if you're this far down on the list, a safe 5-7 points is not a bad thing to utilize.
Point Projection: 6 points

----------------------

38. Javon Walker (Oakland Raiders) @ New Orleans

Walker has a few things going for him this week. One, he'll probably be the healthiest he's been all season thanks to the week 5 bye. Two, the Raiders will most likely be down by so much in this one, that they'll be forced to throw. And, three, you know Al Davis is making sure the new regime utilizes the man he spent $55 million on.
Point Projection: 6 points

----------------------

39. Kevin Walter (Houston Texans) vs. Miami

While we weren't quick to attribute Andre Johnson's big game to Sage Rosenfels being under center, we will go on record as saying that Schaub's absence hurt Walter's week 5 value as Schaub is the QB that utilizes Walter more. Schaub will return in week 6, and as a result, Walter will turn in a better effort than his 36 yards against the Colts.
Point Projection: 6 points

----------------------

40. Greg Camarillo (Miami Dolphins) @ Houston

These aren't your 1-15 Dolphins of last season. After all, they already have two victories on the short season. However, Greg Camarillo, who erased the Dolphins' chances of a winless season in 2007, is still helping them win games. In both Dolphins' wins this season, Camarillo has gone for 60+ yards. He threw in a TD in week 5 for good measure. He's not ever going to top this list, but he is playing well enough to earn bye week duties.
Point Projection: 6 points

----------------------

41. Deion Branch (Seattle Seahawks) vs. Green Bay  **QUESTIONABLE**

Branch's debut wasn't quite as impressive as Engram's as Branch hauled in just 3 passes for 31 yards. What makes things even worse is that Branch suffered a bruised heel in the process, leaving him as a gametime decision for this Sunday's game. We expect Branch to play through the pain and for the Seahawks as a whole to have a better showing at home against the Packers.
Point Projection: 5 points

----------------------

42. Johnnie Lee Higgins (Oakland Raiders) @ New Orleans

Through 4 games, Higgins is the leading fantasy receiver for the Oakland Raiders with 17 fantasy points (14 points on one play). 8 wide receivers either matched that point total or surpassed it in week 5. It's easy to see how the Raiders' passing game is ranked 29th in the NFL. Still, with Russell's arm strength and Higgins' speed, a deep bomb is never out of the question, therefore if your in a league that rewards for long touchdowns Higgins could be a plug-n-play.
Point Projection: 5 points

----------------------

43. Miles Austin (Dallas Cowboys) @ Arizona

After two double digit fantasy outings, Austin put up the big ol' goose egg in week 5. As a member of the Dallas Cowboys offense, Austin will be a huge risk/reward player for the rest of the year. With the way the Cowboys put up points, there's always a possibility some go Austin's way, but with all the talent the Cowboys have on the offensive side of the ball, there's always the chance he'll be completely forgotten.
Point Projection: 5 points

----------------------

44. Derrick Mason (Baltimore Ravens) @ Indianapolis

Following his 137 yard effort against the Steelers, Mason was once again back in the 30-50 yard range that has become more of his norm this season. He'll be in that range again this week as the Ravens will look to win this game with the Colts by running, running, and running some more against the Colts 32nd ranked rush defense.
Point Projection: 5 points

----------------------

45. Sidney Rice (Minnesota Vikings) vs. Detroit

Rice missed a favorable match-up in week 5 against the New Orleans Saints due to a knee injury; however, he should be good to go in this one against an even worse pass defense in the Detroit Lions.
Point Projection: 5 points

----------------------

46. Ike Hillard (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) vs. Carolina

Odd weeks, Hilliard finds pay dirt. Even weeks, no TDs and not a whole lot of yardage. That trend continues at least through week 6 as Hilliard matches up against a Panthers defense that is giving up just 156 passing yards per game.
Point Projection: 4 points

----------------------

47. Chris Henry (Cincinnati Bengals) @ New York Jets

You might not have been aware that Chris Henry was activated prior to the Bengals game against the Cowboys as the wideout failed to have any impact on the game. Not only did he not catch a pass, Palmer didn't even look his way. Do not use Henry until it's evident he's back to being a part of the team's game plan.
Point Projection: 4 points

----------------------

48. Anthony Gonzalez (Indianapolis Colts) vs. Baltimore

A concussion will not keep Gonzalez out for this Sunday's match-up with the Baltimore Ravens, which may be a good thing for the Colts as the Ravens have absolutely shut down the pass this season, allowing just 128.5 passing yards per game.
Point Projection: 4 points

----------------------

49. Bryant Johnson (San Francisco 49ers) vs. Philadelphia

After being a hot waiver wire pickup in Week 3, Johnson has produced just four fantasy points over the last 3 games. With Isaac Bruce emerging as the go-to wide receiver in San Francisco you can't trust Johnson to post solid numbers on a weekly basis.
Point Projection: 4 points

----------------------

50. Antwaan Randle El (Washington Redskins) vs. St. Louis

Whats's not impressive is Randle El's three receptions for 34 receiving yards in Week 5, but what is impressive is the fact that he was targeted a season high 10 times by quarterback Jason Campbell. What's equally impressive is that Randle El threw a touchdown pass last week and in Week 6 you can't overlook his matchup against a bottom of the barrell Rams pass defense.
Point Projection: 4 points

----------------------

51. Ted Ginn Jr. (Miami Dolphins) @ Houston

Coming into the season, Ginn was thought of as a valuable option in PPR leagues but it hasn't been until the past two games that he has got a good grasp on being an everydown receiver in the NFL. He has 12 receptions for 104 receiving yards over the past two games and should be able to find wiggle room against a Texans defense that allows points in bunches.
Point Projection: 4 points

----------------------

52. Jabar Gaffney (New England Patriots) @ San Diego

After a strong finish to his 2007 season, Gaffney has finally started to become a reliable option in the New England passing attack. He has 9 receptions and a touchdown over the past two games and should be able to build on that against the Chargers, who rank dead last against the pass and have surrendered 10 passing touchdowns in just five games.
Point Projection: 4 points

----------------------

53. Chansi Stuckey (New York Jets) @ vs. Cincinnati

Call it ironic, but after scoring a touchdown in each of his first three games, Stuckey was held to just 2 receptions for 12 receiving yards in a game that saw Jets quarterback Brett Favre throw six touchdown passes. Stuckey's Week 6 opponent, the Cincinnati Bengals, rank 6th in the NFL against the pass but we like his chances of making it 4 of five weeks with a TD.
Point Projection: 4 points

----------------------

54. Antonio Chatman (Cincinnati Bengals) @ New York Jets

With all the negatives surrounding the Bengals franchise, Chatman has been a healthy surprise. He is second on the team with 17 receptions and his 15 catches over the past three games is a true sign that Carson Palmer is starting to target him often. We wouldn't suggest using him over Chad Ocho Stinko, but a few more weeks of Chatman outshining the multi-millionaire and you might have to consider it.
Point Projection: 3 points

----------------------

55. Ronald Curry (Oakland Raiders) vs. New Orleans

To be honest, the only thing that Curry and the Raiders have going for them is the fact that new head coach Tom Cable plans to use a balanced offensive attack. With that being said, Curry has just 29 receiving yards on the season and has no business being on any fantasy rosters. Though the Raiders will have to pass the majority of the second half, meaning Curry could surpass his season totals in Week 6.
Point Projection: 3 points

----------------------

56. Domenik Hixon (New York Giants) @ Cleveland

Alright, we predicted that Hixon would have 70+ receiving yards and a possible touchdown last week and he did. In fact he had 102 receiving yards and a touchdown despite missing the majority of the second half with a concussion. In Week 6, Hixon has the matchup to have another big week but with Plaxico back from a suspension his role will return to special teams and multiple receiver sets.
Point Projection: 3 points

----------------------

57. Donnie Avery (St. Louis Rams) @ Washington

In each of his first two games as a starter, Avery has hauled in 3 receptions, but with the Rams passing game in shambles it's safe to keep Avery as far away from your lineup as possible.
Point Projection: 3 points

----------------------

58. Patrick Crayton (Dallas Cowboys) @ Arizona

Over at Bruno Boys headquarters we like to call Crayton "the light switch." One minute he's on, the next minute he's off and despite scoring a touchdown in Week 6 it was his only reception. Until he proves to his owners that he can produce on a weekly basis you might want to roll with a receiver who is seeing more tagets.
Point Projection: 3 points

----------------------

59. Rashied Davis (Chicago Bears) @ Atlanta

With Brandon Lloyd ailing Kyle Orton needs someone to throw the football to right? In steps Davis, who had an career high 97 receiving yards last week and should be able to post another solid outing against the Falcons bend but don't break secondary. We will keep you posted on the injury status to Llyod.
Point Projection: 3 points
----------------------

60. Robert Meachem (New Orleans Saints) vs. Oakland

Meachem is a bit to much deep threat or bust for our liking, but you can't overlook the fact that he averages over 50 receiving yards per game. With the Raiders secondary struggling to make plays, don't be surprised if Meachem beats them over the top, however, if he doesn't you are stuck with minimal fantasy points.
Point Projection: 3 points

----------------------

61. Mark Clayton (Baltimore Ravens) @ Indianapolis

As the Ravens offense begins to take baby steps so does Clayton. His 4 receptions for 37 receiving yards in Week 5 was a season high but with rookie quarterback Joe Flacco under helm you can expect much from Clayton.
Point Projection: 3 points

----------------------

62. Arnaz Battle (San Francisco 49ers) vs. Philadelphia

This matchup has the makings of a disaster. The Eagles are stubborn at allowing passing yards, you never know which Arnaz Battle will show up come sunday and the 49ers have multiple outlets that should be used before you resort to the man with the good hands and thats about it.
Point Projection: 2 points
----------------------

63. Reggie Williams (Jacksonville Jaguars) @ Denver

Alright, sometimes one is to go a bit whacko and perhaps that is what happened when we decided to rank Williams in Week 6. He has 99 receiving yards in five games, has gone two games without hauling in a reception and hasn't even sniffed an end zone target, however, you beat the Broncos through the air and there might be just enough footballs thrown around to get Williams involved.
Point Projection:2 points

----------------------

64. Michael Jenkins (Atlanta Falcons) vs. Chicago

Despite having just 9 catches on the season you can't overlook Jenkins 16.8 yard per reception average. Though he is more in line for a 30-40 receiving yard outing, Jenkins does have home run ball potential and the Bears do rank 23rd against the pass.
Point Projection: 2 points

65. Marty Booker (Chicago Bears) @ Atlanta

The "Book", as we like to call him, hauled in 2 receptions for 37 receiving yards in Week 5 and believe it or not had a season high 4 targets en route to the Bears blowout victory. Though he doesn't play a big enough role in the offense for us to make a bold prediction, don't say we told you so if he somehow sneaks in a touchdown this week.
Point Projection: 2 points

Other Notable Wide Receivers

Joey Galloway (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) vs. Carolina - Galloway's been nursing a severe ankle sprain for 3 weeks now. The fact that he didn't even make the trip to Denver last week is not an encouraging sign.

Brandon Lloyd (Chicago Bears) @ Atlanta - Lloyd is battling a knee injury, which kept him out of practice all of the week prior to week 5 and out of last Sunday's contest against the Lions. With Kyle Orton progressing as a QB, it would be nice to see Lloyd back on the field.

Chris Chambers (San Diego Chargers) vs. New England - Reports are indicating that Chambers is likely to sit in week 6 against the Patriots.

Eddie Royal (Denver Broncos) vs. Jacksonville - The rookie will see his first time on the injury report. Not as exciting as his first NFL touchdown.

WEEK 6 BYE WEEK WIDE RECEIVERS

Lee Evans (Buffalo Bills) - BYE

The wide out demonstrated in week 5 why he was worth the contract extension, going for 18 fantasy points. During the week 6 bye, I imagine Evans doing a Scrooge McDuck into all that new found cash.

----------------------

Josh Reed (Buffalo Bills) - BYE

Is it necessary to list a bye weke fill in, if he's on a bye?

----------------------

Hines Ward (Pittsburgh Steelers) - BYE

We bet Ward is feeling a lot better about this bye after coming down with the game-winning touchdown in the Steelers' week 5 game against the Jags, a catch that was redemption for some earlier drops.

----------------------

Santonio Holmes (Pittsburgh Steelers) - BYE

Despite pre-season predictions that had Holmes supplanting Hines Ward as the Steelers' number one wide receiver, heading into the bye week, the vet has outscored the up-and-comer by 21 fantasy points.

----------------------

Nate Washington (Pittsburgh Steelers) - BYE

Washington tallied no fantasy points the first two weeks of the season, but since then has amassed 22 in 3 games. The gap between Ward and Holmes' production is twice that of the gap between Holmes and Washington.

----------------------

Justin Gage (Tennessee Titans) - BYE

When on the field, Gage has turned himself into a viable WR3 for fantasy purposes. The problem is that he's had trouble staying healthy enough to play, the bye week should help him heal up.

----------------------

Dwayne Bowe (Kansas City Chiefs) - BYE

Through 5 weeks of play, Bowe is being targeted on average 11.2 times a game. But, with him and Tony Gonzalez being the only real viable receiving options on the Chiefs, that's not surprising. Because of the targets, he'll remain a WR2 play despite thattemptse Chiefs ineptitudes.
