Jimmie Johnson (Previous Position: 1
st) -
Johnson survived all the wreckage and finished ninth at Talladega. Wound
up extending his lead big time as well and even fell down one lap early in the
race.
2) Clint Bowyer (Previous Position: 4th) -
Bowyer is another driver that survived all the wreckage to finish fifth.
Was not special all day though. He also moved up two spots in the Sprint Cup
Standings.
3) Kevin Harvick (Previous Position: 3rd) -
Harvick wound up with a top 20 finish even though his car wound up in a big
wreck late in the race. He was leading a bunch of laps and had a strong
car all day.
4) Carl Edwards (Previous Position: 2nd) -Edwards
wound up causing a wreck that put him back in 29th spot. He
stayed in the back for most of the race.
5) Jeff Burton (Previous Position: 7th) - Burton
wound up with a top five as he stayed out of the wreckage. He did lead
some laps in the race late though.
6) Greg Biffle (Previous Position: 5th)
- Biffle only drops down one spot in the standings even though he finished 24th.
He got caught up in a big wreck late killing a good finish for him.
7) Dale Earnhardt Jr. ( Previous Position: 6th) - DEJ had a car that had a great
shot at winning the race only to get caught up in a big wreck late. He pushed a
bunch of cars top the lead of the race though.
8) Matt Kenseth (Previous Position: 8th) - Kenseth
stays in 8th place after getting caught in a big pile up late in the
race. He wound up finishing the race in 26th spot, but did lead a
few laps in the first half of the race.
9) Tony Stewart (Previous Position: N/A) - Stewart moves
back onto this list after winning the race at Talladega. It was his first win
of the season. He also rocketed up four spots in the Sprint Cup
Standings.
10) David Ragan (Previous Position: N/A) - While
Denny Hamlin and Jeff Gordon had bad finishes at Talladega David stayed out of
trouble to finish in third spot.
