WR Catches 2 TD Passes in Final Seconds

With St. Paul (Minn.) Central trailing 18-6 with less than 15 seconds to play against St. Paul (Minn.) Johnson, Central receiver Jordan Larson two touchdown passes (32 yards and 49 yards) to send the game into OT (they missed the extra points), where they won 25-18. USA Today has the story.

NFHS Concerned With On-Field Injuries, Deaths

According the The News & Observer, “seven high school football players and one high school soccer player have died while playing with their school teams in the U.S. since July 1, according to the National Federation of High School Associations.” The NFHS will address the issue of catastrophic injuries in football at an emergency meeting of its sports medicine committee this Saturday in Indianapolis.
