Surprisingly, all 6 NCAA football computer polls have now released their rankings, thus I can give you an almost certain look to the BCS. Remember, you don’t have to be “ranked” in Top 25 in the human polls to recieve credit, you just need the votes which turns into points. As a follow up to last week’s unofficial BCS Standings, here are what I percieve to be the unoffical BCS Standings for this week.
BCS Average
1. Oklahoma 0.9510
2. Alabama 0.9101
3. Texas 0.8491
4. Missouri 0.8157
5. LSU 0.7471
6. Penn St. 0.6964
7. USC 0.6135
8. Texas Tech 0.5778
9. BYU 0.5729
10. Utah 0.5668
11. Georgia 0.5525
12. Florida 0.4970
13. Vanderbilt 0.4875
14. Boise St. 0.4697
15. Ohio St. 0.4685
16. Northwestern 0.3469
17. Oklahoma St. 0.3468
18. Kansas 0.3198
19. Virginia Tech 0.2970
20. Auburn 0.2176
21. Michigan St. 0.1807
22. Wake Forest 0.1667
23. TCU 0.1607
24. South Florida 0.1425
25. Ball St. 0.1258
Just a reminder here is the pecking order for the BCS Automatic Qualification:
1. BCS #1 & #2
2. Conference Champions from ACC, Big XII, Big Ten, SEC, Big East, & Pac-10
3. Non-BCS Conference Champions that are
a. in the top 12 OR
b. in the top 16 ranked ahead of a BCS Conference
4. BCS #3 that is not a conference champion.
5. BCS #4 that is not a conference champion.
**Notre Dame gets an automatic BCS slot if they are in the top 8 in BCS no matter the situation.
For the next situations, these deal with At-Large Qualifications
6. Any team that has won at least 9 games and is in the top 14 in the BCS.
7. Any team that has won at least 9 games and is in the top 18 in the BCS.
**If there are still openings after #7 then the BCS will continue to move down the standings by 4 (top 22, 26, etc.)
And finally, no BCS conference can send more than two teams to the BCS, and no non-BCS conference can send more than one team to the BCS.
So all in all (I know you have been waiting for it, and if you have read everything above this you deserve to know) here are what my BCS Bowl Projections are currently, taking into account the BCS Conference leaders and BCS Unoffical Standings.

BCS National Championship Game
#1 Oklahoma vs. #2 Alabama

Tostitos Fiesta Bowl
Texas vs. Utah
Since the Big XII Champion is tied to this bowl and they lost #1 Oklahoma to Miami, they pick first. They more than likely will go to the Big XII for a replacement, thus they will take #3 Texas, who got an automatic berth. They will then pick third overall and will choose automatic qualifier Utah, possibly due to their history with the bowl. However, don’t count out USC getting here.

Allstate Sugar Bowl
LSU vs. USC
Still no change to this bowl. Alabama is the #2 team thus the Sugar Bowl will get the second BCS pick to replace Alabama. They will follow the Fiesta Bowl and go to the SEC and choose home state team LSU. The Sugar Bowl will then pick fourth and provided the Fiesta Bowl doesn’t take USC (which they could) the Sugar Bowl will jump on USC.

FedEx Orange Bowl
Wake Forest/Virginia Tech vs. Pittsburgh
The ACC Champion is tied to the Orange Bowl and currently that would be the winner of Wake Forest and Virginia Tech. The Orange Bowl picks last in the BCS, because the Rose Bowl will not have an at large bid, and the other bowls have picked, the Orange Bowl will be forced to take the Big East Champion due to its automatic tie-in to the BCS, which is currently Pittsburgh.

Rose Bowl
California or Arizona vs. Penn State
Right now Cal and Arizona are tied in the Pac-10 standings, thus they get the bid into the Rose Bowl. Same thing with Penn State, they are leading the Big Ten, and thus get the bid to the Rose Bowl.
Again a lot of movement will be made this season, so I seriously doubt these will last another week or two. The BCS Standings will be out next Monday, thus this will be my last unofficial BCS Standings but I will continue to analyze the standings and where your team may go bowling in 2009.
