LeBron James leaving Cavs for Nets, thanks to Jay Z?

It's no secret that the King himself and Jay Z-HOVA-Jigga Man-Best Rapper Alive-(I fail to believe that)-Mr. Rocafella-"H" to the "O.V."-S Dot- Sean Carter, are good friends off the court and outside of the studio. It's been said that LeBron looks up to Jay, for the way he's lived his life and the trail he paved for himself.

With all the talk surrounding Lebron about being the best basketball player in the world and striving to be a global icon, it's appropriate his mentor/friend is Jay Z. After all, Jay Z is known every where from Alcatraz to Staten Island, from The Great Lakes to The Great Plains, From Earth to Jupiter, Jay is the epitome of a "Global Icon."

With both worlds colliding, Jay Z being part owner of the New Jersey Nets and Lebron James' contract being up in two years, it's very possible that HOVA will be luring James over to Brooklyn - where Jay has been known to be moving the Nets. For LeBron, it's the best of both worlds, closer to the Yankee stadium and with his good friend builiding a championship team.

LBJ looks to build a business around him and be the first billionaire athlete. There is no other person besides Oprah that I would befriend other than Jay Z when it comes to makin' dough and breakin' bread.

Now, let's just watch this story unfold.

Lil Wayne is the Best Rapper Alive, Weezy F.Baby, Birdman Jr., Young Carter is. Not Jay-z

Weezy's great but don't sleep on the Bay.

Ya Boy, Equipto, Keak da Sneak, Andre Nickatina and Mac Dre (RIP). Especially check out Ya Boy ("Precise Gang").

Man, the Bay's real solid, but I'm from the East Coast so you can see my bias

The Bay's where it's at... I'd love to see King James play on the Left Coast but there's no denying the fact that the league would sizzle with him in Brooklyn.

hahaha i say the left coast too... not that, thats relevant to anything this article is about lol

you need help

lol you do know that the best rapper alive in your eyes thinks that jay-z is the best rapper right? so that cancels you out completely.

were you really bein serious ?

lil wayne cant even hold pacs poopoo

It felt like Weezy knocked out 300 songs last year. From remix's to singles, Weezy is crazy. Arguably the best rapper alive. But, Dre3000 is still number one.

Jay-z isn't my style (too old- I'm still rocking Chuck D, Rakim, and Q-Tip).

I love the Arie Spears bit with Jay-Z.

But, if he were making me a billionaire, he'd become my style real fast.

Depends on what type of rap we are talking. In my opinion the best lyricist would either being Talib Kweli or Black Thought. But in the god of the game right now is Hova, he has all corners of the game locked down.

I myself am a huge fan MOP, just for how much excitement they bring.

But back to Basketball. Obviously the Nets will be moving over the bridge to Brooklyn. Lebron and everyone will keep their mouths shut until that day comes. The only way they are going to clinch the guy is if they offer him the largest basketball contract possible. As of right now they are making the strides to move all contracts out. Franchises are like corporations, they have growth goals in place, and that means what future players they will try to get. I can tell you this now, somewhere buried deep in some paperwork there is someone already talking about this guy. Cleveland is feeling the push to get a ring before this guys contract is up. Thats why they are taking on so much salary, now when he re ups in two years I honestly dont think they will have the money to keep him. So thats why they are doing this.

In two years I see him somewhere else. Im not sure about Brooklyn, but he will be somewhere else.

Nice writeup man. Sparked my interest for sure.

Thanks, bro.

Ah, Talib... 'Til this day, "Train of Thought", is still my favorite album of all time. But, Andre 3000 is at the top of my list right now. Lyrically, imagination, creativity, stage presence, hooks, and style - Dre's just on point.

But Mighty Mos-Def, Common, Black Thought and The Roots Crew, Talib, KRS, J-Dilla, etc. all get praise from me. Definitely sets the night off right for any party.

Now THOSE are some names I can agree with you on (a few of the others too -- Q-Tip, etc.).

Yeah, the foundation of my musical taste was based on A Tribe Called Quest, Souls of Mischief, Hieroglyphics, KRS, Eric B. and Rakim, yada yada...

YABOY is hawt right now!
i like The Pack, i like Too Shorts stuff, Mistah Fab, E-40 yada yada..

Mistah Fab is a Warriors fan!

Oh I forgot to tell you ladies... I saw Too Short at the Phoenix game. Walked right by me with two "lady-friends".

Pimpin ain't easy.

That's awesome! I missed him. Where was he sitting?
I saw Big Rich at the last game. He had on his big diamond chain and a shirt with his own picture on it.
I guess you can't be ashamed to promote yourself.

the guy thats designing my custon dub shoes also designs custom shoes for Mistah Fab.
=]

Yea keak da sneak was amazing on sweet 16... haha... No comparison to lil weezy and jay z..

you got it backwards, Wayne would kill keak da sneak

That would be wild to see LBJ play for the Nets.

Yeah, so basically it isn't happening. LBJ is in a Garnett-type situation - he wants to win where he is, only Ohio is his home state so he has even stronger ties there. I don't think he'll move for awhile unless Danny Ferry signs Larry Hughes again.

If Danny Feery doesn't build a contender by the time LeBrons contract is up, there's a very strong possibilty he will move to Brooklyn. Being in his home state would not matter to him. He wants a ring, build his future businesses, and being around his very good friend, Jay-Z, would be a huge bonus.

I don't think LeBron would leave the Cavs, because his friendship with Jay Z is personal. You don't mix buissness with your personal life cause it will back fire and if Jay really wanted LeBron to play for him, Jay Z should've came to Cleveland. The New Jersey area (New York, Brooklyn) is Jay's home , Ohio is LeBron's home , Jay Z is the king of New York, LeBron is the king of Ohio you can't have two kings in the same castle, even though they are kings in two different professions. LeBron said it publicly all over t.v. & radio the Cavs are treating him and his family good. Danny Ferry was a basketball player and knows what it takes to build a championship caliper team, not to talk down on Jay Z but do he knows what it takes, they let Jason Kidd go, will Vince Carter leave? Point being the Cavs are in the play-offs New Jersey, Brooklyn or what ever is at home watching the play-offs on t.v. the Cavs went to the finals the Nets didn't, the Cavs are a good team now and can make another trip to the finals this year !

Are you retarded? What do you mean the Nets didnt go to the Finals. They went to the finals back to back years. Do you even know what basketball is? All the signs are pointing to Lebron leaving the cavs. New York is the type of city LBJ can build his billion dollar empire. LBJ is one of the best ballers. However, he is also a sound business man. He knows what it takes for his name to carved in stone. LBJ doesnt want the same thing that happened to Kevin Garnett happening to him. KG stayed in Minnesota for so many years before realizing he had to go elsewhere. LBJ is smarter than that. Cleveland will never surround him with championship caliber teammates. New Jersey is in a rebuilding process. Nets are making cap space and filling up the roster with young, athletic talent. Whether Vince Carter contributes or not, NJ Nets will be the team to watch come 2010. The sad part is all the Cavs fans know it but cant come to terms with it. Say bye-bye to Lebron James. haha

You might want to do some research on the NBA. The Nets went to the finals back to back years. Against the Lakers, and then against the Spurs. You might wanna google it if you dont believe me. haha
