New position for Chris Chester?

Offensive lineman Chris Chester said Wednesday that if called upon, he would line up at defensive tackle again.

Chester, who was a defensive end and linebacker in high school, was inserted on the defensive line against the Indianapolis Colts Sunday night after Haloti Ngata left briefly with a sprained left knee.

“It was just an emergency thing,” Chester said, noting that Justin Bannan sat out with a sprained left knee. “They told me to go out there and go straight ahead and don’t get knocked back. That’s what I did.”

Coach Brian Billick said using Chester on the defensive line is not the coaches’ first option. “Would like to keep that to a minimum,” Billick said. “We’ve got a couple guys we’re working pretty hard and hopefully, we can fill them in.”

Both Ngata and Bannan are expected to play against the Miami Dolphins this Sunday.

could the news be any bleaker? another year with the grand illusionist. the same guy who quit on the minn vikings in the playoffs so he could interview for the raven job. i know brian couldn't very well handle his head coaching duties with all the pressure of being the offensive coordinator. good thing he unloaded fassel(obviously limited by billick's system- he was denver's coordinator in 1993-4 when they were #3 and #10 in offense with elway attributing his resurgence to jim) and rode to the rescue on his white horse. what a guy. jermaine lewis scores 6 touchdowns in ted's system and brian can't fit him anywhere in his. doesn't have ANY feel for the game, does not know when to run and when to pass. how many games lost by brian bungles? colts v ravens playoffs last year-less than 10 rushes in the 2nd half. horrible clock management, can't keep his players in line and they are rarely ready to play. how ugly is raven football anyway? how about the ny giant preseason game where brian sent out the swagger edict-the miami mob-they got manhandled with a john madden telecast. they were a joke and balto was embarrassed-again.

Whoa? When will this season Finally End? You Know that the injuries have really taken a toll on a team when they use one of their Future stars as a DT.All we can hope for is that the Ravens don't have anymore serious injuries and get ready for next year.It is going to be a Long off-season too with the Mess that is Major League Baseball...
