Why Dajuan Wagner Isn't Playing

One of our friends/ insiders with the Warriors just tipped us on why Dajuan Wagner hasn't seen any court time this season and didn't play in last night's win, despite the Dubs being short on players. The good news is that Wagner really isn't in Nellie's doghouse. The bad news is that Wagner is really struggling on defense in practice and Nellie is worried about him being a big defensive liability in games. Part of the reason for Wagner's struggles on D can be attributed to his mentality and recovery from his colon problems. He was concentrating big time on reviving his offensive game, but didn't focus on defense as much. It looks like it's just going to take some time for Dajuan and given what he's gone through, he deserves some patience from the coaching staff and Warriors Nation.

As always we'll continue to pass on whatever we find out.

Dajuan bring that D! We want to see you score like crazy off the bench and drive opposing teams and coaches insane!

Good news.

That's actually good news. When he didn't come out to play last night, I was really wondering how much longer he was going to be a Warrior. Hopefully he can work it out and twerk it out yadadamean?!

How legit is this "source"?

Was anyone there on opening night when Dajuan Wagner sauntered out when introduced and DID NOT shake Nellies hand? When every player was introduced in all star game fashion, all Warrior players ran out all hyphy. Each player shook Don Nelsons hand. Every player except Dajuan Wagner.

Now, hes in uniform, when we are undermanned, and he doesnt get a minute of PT? Somethins up.

IF he is in the doghouse, the situation becomes more perplexing because if ya'll remember Nelson was "giddy" about Wags in the pseason.

Weird.

Those were legit too.

I never understood why people were getting mad at us for those. We were just passing on what we heard from a legit, inside source. There's tons of NBA rumors printed in newspapers and they never get criticized when they never actually go down.

Like we always say 99% of rumors never go down, but 99% are fun to talk about.

I just want to make it clear though that any "intelligence" is always labeled as a Rumor and anything that actually goes down is a News or Breaking News item.

Attitude?

Well if the young man has an "attitude" then Misters Davis and Foyle and anyone who wants to join them, should take him aside and speak some reality to him. My thought was that Nelson was just bringing him along slow because of his past medical problem but if it is a "head" problem then Wagner better get a cushion because Nelson will not let him off the bench - except to pack and head for the door. Hope this is not the case because he does show promise.

I'm writing this after the Detroit game

where he got in 6 or so minutes and it was obvious that he is a defensive liability, guys were blowing by him so this thread and the inside sources seem to be accurate. If he can't play defense he won't play on the Warriors. Barnes and Roberson are equally good offensive players and they can play defense.
