New BP Jerseys
Thanks to JLaff over at AN, I’ve seen the future, and it has armpit stripes.
The new batting practice jerseys for next year are out, and I’ve got to say… I’m glad they’re just BP uniforms. Here’s what I’m talking about:
I guess the white armpit is to highlight pit stains? I really don’t like the stripes down the sides of the jersey. Why do they need special BP jerseys anyway? Oh, yea… To sell to everyone.
Here’s a link to a picture of all of the jerseys for next year. I’d have to say that the Reds and Cardinals tops have got to be the worst. A blue stripe on a Cardinal uniform just looks weird.
Paul Lukas of UniWatch weighed in with his two cents, and he came to pretty much the same conclusion as I did:
“I’d like to get worked up about how crummy they are (and the caps are even worse — wait till you see them), except, y’know, they’re just BP jerseys, so who really gives a shit?”
Also, I’m not sure this is the newest version of them, since the D-Backs colors don’t match their new palette.
