Here's one for the "Oh no he DIH-UNT" file. Former Hawai'i Warrior Lene Amosa says Hawai'i just didn't bring it in their game against Georgia. As a former player, I'm tired of hearing fans and the media say that we were overmatched by bigger, faster, stronger players.Oh, Lene. Lene, Lene, Lene.
Georgia players are no different than us; the problem was they came to play and we didn't.
Georgia was dominant, not only because they were good athletes, but because their scheme put them in the best position to win.
If Hawai'i (offense) had done the same and utilized/adjusted their scheme to put themselves in the best position, we would not be in the mess we are in now. Believe me, our budget and facilities have nothing to do with what goes on on the field. It's up to the players, and I know for a fact they are looking forward to Florida.
Georgia got lucky, and I say that from a player's point of view. We gave up big plays, which at the end killed us.
The Sugar Bowl was the only BCS game I've ever watched and thought, "Damn, I hope none of those little skinny guys get hurt." I was literally fearful for the safety of Hawai'i's players. And every time the Warriors' offense took the field, I was reminded of that scene from Jurassic Park. No, not the one where the kid gets blown off the electric fence; the one where they tie a goat up to a post in an effort to lure a velociraptor out of hiding.
The only thing Georgia lucked out on is that none of their players were charged with aggravated assault for what they did to the Rainbow Warriors.

Aren't they playing Florida next year? Maybe they'll "show up" then, and won't be so "unlucky." Or maybe they'll lose by 60.

Lene, I agree with you. You could see, they were a different team, even in the locker room when Coach Jones told them "to act like they belong their". His comment sound strange to me. But, now he will be SMU's coach. We have a different coach, McMackin, whom everybody likes alot. Well, I like him alot. His the best choice to replace Coach Jones. I feel, it's going to be a very good year. Alot of things, concerning our warriors are starting to change for the better.
And Ryan, you are starting to show your age, by calling the Warriors, rainbows. If your intent was to get some name calling comments, well, I won't be one. I'm to old to be intimated by a childest comment.

OK, Georgia beat Hawaii big time. But every BCS bowl game was a blow out. Georgia's defense won the game. Hawaii's offensive tackles paid poorly. But Hawaii's defense adjusted in the second half holding Georgia to 110 yards. Hawaii's offense didn't adjust until it was too late. Hawaii QB Tyler Graunke showed what the Hawaii offense was all about by completing four out of five passes and scoring a TD on his first drive. Did Hawaii belong onm the same field? Look at comparative scores: Georgia beat Georgia Tech by 14, Fresno State (WAC) beat Georgia Tech by 12. Hawaii beat Fresno by 7. Georgia's defense played great but if Georgia hopes to compete fo the BCS championship in the Fall it needs a new, better quarterback.

Ryan Ferguson you are an idiot there is no way you could have been watching the same game I was.your all mighty Colt didn't even get close to the end zone , UGA was holding team meetings on
his butt all night . The mighty Colt only put 3 points on the board they didn't score again until they were playing against UGA's 3 rd. string.
You got the nerve to say Georgia got lucky , if you are a journalists which I doubt ,with these comments you have lost all the respect other writers have had for you if any , and if you think I am wrong wait till next year when Hawaii plays Florida they are in for lesson #2 on getting there butts kicked.

Easy, Old Rooster...
Ryan was just posting a letter from a former Hawaii player - and then he mocked it mercilessly. He's not a Hawaii fan, he's a Florida fan.
Hey uboto...
You need more help than I can provide in the small space allowed, but let me just say this much. Hawaii didn't hold UGA to 110 yards in the second half. Mark Richt and Mike Bobo did. Georgia was up by about twelve touchdowns, so they just ran it into the line about 80% of the time just to get the game over with - and they were doing it with subs. Trust me...the second half could've been a lot worse. But, luckily for you, Mark Richt has always played Mr. Nice Guy with a big lead. He doesn't run up the score.
Oh, by the way, we don't need your advice on quarterbacks either. UGA finished #2 this year with Stafford - in his sophomore year, no less. So he looks OK to me.

Yeah. Georgia just got lucky sorta like Southern Cal got "lucky" against the "Fighting Illini" 8 ( yeah eight)sacks of Colt Brennan, at least 2 interceptions, and as complete a stuffing of the "running game" as I have ever witnessed. Damn! Just imagine what would have happened if they had been good. You guys just better be glad that Mark Richt is a gentleman and put in his second and third string or Georgia's defense would have outscored your vaunted offense by 3 touchdowns

ryan ryan ryan man how much did you drink? did you bump your head? that was as bad as uga has beaten somebody since we beat lsu by 4 touchdowns in 2005. it was bad. at halftime i was trying not to act too happy just for the hawaii fans. who by the way were way too happy to be getting beaten by 4 touchdowns. it was amazing and you are amazing ryan. think a little smarter in your next article. good luck.

The mark of a true championship team is they ALWAYS come to play. I'm a Dawg fan from before the 1980 National championship team and a registered Gator Hater but Hawaii's Warriors are in for aworld of hurt in their first game this year.

I've noticed from looking at this site every now and then that the people who post here are usually the delusional members of the fan-base, but damn, these UH fans are REALLY bad! I mean, the general consensus between UH fans seems to be that the warriors were just pretending to stink it up so they can suprise UF next season. Honestly, you usually only see a complete beatdown like this when a powerhouse d-1A team plays a d-1aa team. I especially liked the little stat where uboto says UH obviously didn't bring their game because they: beat fresno who beat GT who almost beat UGA, so UH should have only lost by 7 if they were really playing. Please. Spare me.
ps. hawaii's haka sucks. ya'll need to take some lessons from the all blacks from NZ. Their kids are scarrier than your team.
