On Tuesday I wrote that suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam Pacman Jones was accused, once again, of misconduct at a strip club. This time it was a female attorney who claimed that Jones "sucker punched" her at the Body Tap strip club. But a day later, the woman recanted her accusations, dropped the charges, and as a legal matter, the case is closed.
So did Jones get a raw deal in this case? Did people jump to the conclusion that he had done something wrong when he actually hadn't?
I think that's exactly what happened here, and I think that's extremely unfair to Jones. But I also think things like this will continue happening to Jones, and I think NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is going to decide that because he doesn't want reports like this about his players, he's going to extend that one-year suspension he gave Jones last year.

An Atlanta reporter who appeared on Nashville radio said the woman (who is well known in Atlanta from a Coke vs. Pepsi espionage case) had told him she received very threatening calls telling her to drop the case.
Just saying...

Jones should call a lawyer and sue the accuser for libel.

so, how do you know he did nothing wrong? were you there? are you jumping to the conclusion that he didn't do anything wrong, when maybe he did and either the victim didn't want to get involved in a media circus or maybe she was given hush money?

Michael, Michael, how could you even imply that Pacman got a raw deal???? I don't care who the person is, like the saying goes, you can't keep doing the same dumb things over and over and expect different results. This guy has been arrested 7 times since he came into the league and I guess we are suppose to believe that he gets a raw deal 7 times!!! It is more like Todd said, his lawyer paid the woman hush money, one lawyer to another. This idiot better sing like a choir boy in that trial in Vegas or he can request Vick as his cellmate.

Todd,
What are you talking about, didn't want to get involved in a media circus. The woman would be a freaking American hero by making accusations against Pac Man.
Much like Tommy Urbanski who is, simply, a bar bouncer.
