Each week, we’ll be doing a prospect roundup for pitchers and hitters. Offensively, there’s surely going to be more standouts from a week-to-week basis and I admittedly won’t be able to get to everyone.
What happened? While the week belonged to Cedric Mullins, Wednesday was Albert Suárez’s day. Mullins made a sensational catch and hit a home run in Monday night’s win over the Minnesota Twins and followed it with a two-run, ninth-inning home run to propel the Orioles to their fourth straight win, 4-2, on Wednesday.

Nolan Reimold’s Orioles career was a promising one, and he started it with 15 home runs, a .279 average and an .831 OPS in 104 games in 2009. In his next six seasons with the Orioles, he never topped those figures.
The Orioles chose 34-year-old right-hander Albert Suárez to replace Tyler Wells for Wednesday afternoon’s start against the Minnesota Twins. They selected Suárez’s contract from Triple-A Norfolk.
John Means struggled during his first three rehab appearances. Are the numbers cause for concern? The Orioles elected to utilize internal options to replace John Means and Kyle Bradish early in the season.
The O’s 2023 ace helped propel Bowie to a dominant win, while Norfolk, Aberdeen and Delmarva all suffered heartbreaking defeats. The Tides offense didn’t wake up until the eighth inning, tying things with a three spot in that frame, but then gave up a walkoff in the ninth.

Baltimore Orioles infielder Jackson Holliday was the top prospect in baseball entering the 2024 season, and his MLB debut this week was a pretty huge deal across the league.
If Bradish returns and the other arms in the rotation are also healthy, the club will have to make a decision about who to bump out.
Jackson Holliday will be wearing a jersey number that is very important to the Baltimore Orioles when he makes his MLB debut on Wednesday night.
