One of the time-honored traditions in most forms of sports broadcasting is the shout-out to/thanking of the production staff at the end of games. It’s a nice little gesture to let audiences know that it takes much more than a couple of talking heads to put on a sportscasts; none of the blowhards on camera [...]

(SIGH)..... I don't know what to say about that. Charles is definitely ''The straw that stirs the drink'' on INSIDE the NBA, Very funny guy on all accounts. However, that may have been a tad much. Granted he was joking and all and you gotta give credit to Ernie for the ''SHOW MUST GO ON'' mentality that he had. He subliminally does ''damage control'' quite a bit. So kudos to Ernie for that.
  • Interesting to see just how far he will go as he is certainly blazing a new trail. As a Phoenix resident he has always provided local entertainment. The train wreck that is about to happen may also mean that Charles WILL BE LEAVING THE VALLEY OF THE SUN. Would love to get the back story on that video.

It was kinda funny, what Charles said, but Reggie Miller's reaction made me laugh a lot harder.

Reggie Miller just gets under everyone's skin. He's the biggest P*$$y that ever walked the earth.

I think Charles is hilarious. He makes that show.

Then he should be on late night TV if he is so full of chuckles. He happens to be on at a time when small children can hear his tasteless crap.

I don't really agree with that, because when the games over most kids are turning on the video game (2K9, NBA Live), or are going to shoot hoops (I know that's what me and my friends did). And if a kid is watching the post-game analysis, that's gotta be a pretty boring kid (maybe kids need to come up with a slogan: Rather No Time With Dad, Then To Have To Watch The Post-Game Analysis With Him). Come on, most kids aren't watching Inside The NBA, because they're not going to call in to Sports Talk Radio the next day at work (meaning they don't need to watch in order to steal material to have something to say ;) And he is on Late Night TV. Inside The NBA is usually on after the last Thursday games, which ends around 10 West Coast time, so 1 East Coast.

He actually is full of chuckles, that's why he is funny. He just tells it like it is, he heasn't changed and that's why that show is good. Charles and Kenny going at it and Ernie doing damage control. If you don't think it is appropriate for your child, don't let em watch it. Period.

what world do you live in giantsrepeat. kids in this country hear worst than that from their friends and in school. Yeah Barkley could pump his breaks a little. but you have to give him credit for speaking his mind....

I respect your opinion dahoodone, but I just don't like the guy. When he starts calling people on the panel names, is that professional? no it's not. But thats cool, I get that there are people who like him, I'm just not one of those people. I also get that it's cable and you pay for cable, but he could show a little more class. Be cool brother.
