Dr. Dre Beats by Monster Cable Headphones Review

I just picked up the Dr. Dre Beats headphones by Monster Cable and I must say my feelings are mixed on these bad boys.

The Good:

The case they come in! Nic can back me up and say the case is awesome, it is shaped like a football and on a rainy day could take the place of your pigskin if you lose it.

The low end bass is spectacular, if you are an introvert and do not like hitting the clubs but want to feel like you are in one then pick these up.

The comfort level on these is off the charts, I would think between the ear cups and the amp in the headphones my ears would get hot but they do not. I could see myself wearing these on a flight for many hours without a problem.

THEY ARE LOUD, they apparently go as high as 115dbs which is just absurd. To test we put the headphones on a table and turned the source up to full volume and we could hear them from across the room.

The Bad:

They make music that is encoded poorly sound really bad. You will need minimum to rip at 320kb or possibly lossless to really hear these things go. I am on the fence if these headphones do the trick for anything but R&B, Hip Hop and Drum and Bass. Like I said before these headphones bring the club to your head.
