If you were looking for sketch comedy in the 90s, you turned to either SNL or In Living Color. The latter, which was ghetto humor + Jim Carrey, was created by Keenan and Damon Wayans in 1990. It’s famous for launching the careers of Carrey, Jamie Foxx, the Wayans family, David Alan Grier, and Jennifer Lopez. Those actors spawned many memorable characters and recurring sketches, and below are my Top 10.

  • Aahh...the classics. Don't know that I would put Fire Marshall Bill at #1 though. Kinda felt Jim beat that character into the ground (similar to how Mad TV does their popular characters). I was always a fan of Kim Wayans' Benita Butrell character "I ain't one to gossip, so you didn't hear that from me". Or Keenan's Rick James-like character, Frenchie. Quality sketch comedy that show.

  • Personally this is One of My Favorites: Vera De Milo

And Before K-Fed There was Vanilla Ice Remember?

    And Ms.Benita Butrell

    Frenchie:
