  Eagles fans will appreciate this one. Mike Mummula was called "moo-moo". At camp one year all the players started harrassing him and the whole team started chanting moo-moo after he got a sack. It was the most hilarious thing i have ever seen.

    It was a sad moment for me when Ditka called his number for that TD instead of giving it to Payton, he got them there. I remember ditka saying in an interview last year that that was one of his life's regrets, not giving it to sweetness. I agree, about you?

    there are a lot of guys out there that have done that..... Make claims and just don't back 'em up, I often wonder if its emotions, lack of experience, over cocky, some of or all of them that get these guys in trouble. Some of them I think are put up to it just to get the media something to yak about. What do you think?

  Yea Dirty Waters...brings back memories.....
  Dean, I think a lot of the "show" is how the media pumps up the players..ala ESPN and Primetime with the nicknames and all the different national and regional coverage these days. So the players act on it. The pointing to the sky and pumping the chest all that stuff plays on the tube. It dosen't matter if you are talented or not. All you need is one play and people remember you. Just as Dabirds said 4th and 26. it will always be linked to Fred Ex. That stuff never was tolerated back in the day with players around the league, but it is a different game today.
